After a handful of underwhelming relationships and dozens of disappointing first dates, Andrea Vorlicek recently called off the search for a husband.
The 29-year-old always thought she’d have found her life partner by now. Instead, she’s house hunting solo and considering having kids on her own.
“I’m financially self-sufficient enough to do these things myself,” said Vorlicek, a Boston-based accountant. “I’m willing to accept being single versus settling for someone who isn’t the right fit.”
She sees her plans for an independent future as making the best of a lousy situation. “I don’t want to sit here and say I’m 100% happy,” Vorlicek said. “But I feel happier just accepting my reality. It’s mentally and emotionally a sense of peace.”
American women have never been this resigned to staying single. They are responding to major demographic shifts, including huge and growing gender gaps in economic and educational attainment, political affiliation and beliefs about what a family should look like.
“The numbers aren’t netting out,” said Daniel Cox, director of the survey center at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a conservative think tank. He ticked off the data points: More women than men are attending college, buying houses and focusing on their friendships and careers over dating and marriage.

His comment is what is too typical. Women’s social currency is attention. If they are getting attention from a high value male, the more average males are not wanted by them.

If American women (generally speaking) stopped trying to be men these problems would sort themselves out.
Age is the decisive factor here, for both sexes - but at different times for each individual sex!
No discussion of the dynamics of the Sexual Market makes sense without repeated mention of age.
And in doing so, one should always ask oneself: What has changed (re. age) since, say, the 1940s - and why?
In the 1940s, men typically married at age 25, and women at 22-23.
Today, men at 33 and women at 31.
WHY???
Do men want to delay marriage? If, given the opportunity, to marry a nice, virginal 22-year-old women, are 25-year-old men today saying, "No chance! I don't want regular sexual intercourse! I'd much rather endure many, many months of total abstinence, then maybe "hook up" for a few weeks, followed by another half-year "drought," followed by... Again and again! Until I'm 33!"???

Men are, basically, savages who simply want to spread their seed. However, they are capable of being civilized (vulgo: tamed) - by the institution of Marriage.
The most-powerful force in the universe is the "Power of Boner." (And, its mirror-image: the tempting "Power of Punani.")
By employing discipline in dispensing their "feminine charms" - only within the context of the society-building institution of Marriage - wives harness that energy and steer it into productive channels. The prospect of reliable, regular sex (and, yes, of offspring having a legitimate lineage) is what "tames" men.
It is the duty of Society to teach women to properly wield their power - and thus indirectly control men.
Society has failed to uphold / has actively done everything in its power to destroy that foundation.
Second-wave industrialization (post-WWII) allowing women to enter the labor force in unprecedented numbers and vie on an equal footing with men (because brute strength was becoming increasingly passé), the "bedroom on wheels" (automobiles affordable even for High School juniors) plus drive-in movies, reliable condoms, the "Pill," and then the demonization of men in Third-Wave Feminism combined with dating apps...
They have all empowered the top 80% of women and the top 20% of men (the "Chads").
So what do the bottom 80% of men logically do? They retreat and retire.

My advice to young men is to find a wife from Eastern Europe or Asia. Their minds haven’t been poisoned by decades of feminism.
Unfortunatly, this isn’t 2005. Those women are on instagram now and receiving all that poison. It’s quite unsettling to travel the world and no matter where you go you will see young people on their phones, taking pictures, etc., instead of socializing in person.
Feminism was a corporate conspiracy I’m order to increase productivity without having to increase pay. It allowed corporations to pay for the individual, but not have to include being able to afford families.
Men are opting out because they want a feminine female, not a female trying to act male (Girl power/feminist/hypergamous hypocrites) with entitlement issues. Oh, family courts too; this modern society is awful. Smart males look for younger females who haven't ridden the c’ carousel yet. Body count matters when looking for a marriage partner
I agree with all of that 100%. I never believed that wives should work outside the home, whether there are children or not. Feminism ruined America. (Rush had some pertinent comments.)

“Man is THE prize” is only 50% correct. In truth, husband and wife are equal “prizes”. (That’s assuming they’re “doing it right” — marriage, that is.)

Women want the experience and atmosphere, not the porn itself. When porn has been produced by a woman, for women, it’s more about the experience she will get from a male and not necessarily the sexual act itself.
I spend a great deal of time on a college campus and see many motivated young men who strive for success. There are also many in the military and trade schools who are determined to achieve and work hard.

Many men do not expect a woman to have a high powered career and don't place great value in it in terms of selecting a mate. If most had to choose between a hot young secretary or waitress and an average looking 35 year old corporate exec with an advanced degree making a couple hundred thousand per year would choose the former every time.
Its pointless to condemn each sex for preferring what they do in a mate. Its nature/evolution and its not going to change. People might as well just accept that. No amount of social pressure is ever going to change it.
