Her husband, Michael, is still alive at age 93.
Just after the 88 election I entered the Nashville Admiral’s Club, it was near deserted but at a table were Kitty and Michael. I was tempted to go up to meet them, but all I could think to say was glad you lost. So I left them alone. That said, Kitty looked me and really looked like a B____.
But RIP Kitty.
For anyone that cares what Michael Dukakis thinks these days here is an interview from 2018.
Sounds like he always did and certainly more moderate than AOC who he describes as not representative of the country. He still has that cynical way of describing everything and seems disgusted with Trump and the dems but is still a dem team alumni and wants his “football team” to win.

She had a good run for someone who abused her body for as long as she did. I guess clean living works.
It’s always sad for a spouse to pass. Rest in Peace Kitty.
In one of the presidential debates with GHW Bush in 1988, a question was asked of Dukakis what he would do if his Kitty were raped and murdered. His emotionless response offended many women and hurt him in the polls (not as much as the tank ride, but it did hurt him)
RIP...
Buy why is this national news? People die every minute of every day. Why is the wife of a has-been demoncrap politician so important?
Good riddance
Memory Eternal!
Ok.

When my mom died I didn’t call fox to announce it.
Kitty was no better than my mom, maybe a little worse.
When I was a teenager in the early 90’s working in a pharmacy, there was a new item, green (I think mint) rubbing alcohol. I said “Oh, Kitty Dukakis will LOVE this!” Some thought it was funny, some didn’t.
I vaguely remember her. She was an advanced alcoholic and when he was running for potus, he locked her in her bathroom. She drank a bottle of Listerine and almost died. They took her to the ER, it hit the news, and he dropped out of the race.

I’m sorry to hear this but I am not sure how much difference it makes to the whole world. My parents both have passed and I have had friends that are no longer here so I have enough to care about within my own circle of friends. George Foreman had a much larger effect on me.
RIP
Her struggles paralleled my sisters in many ways.
A complete decades long nightmare for the rest of my family.

RIP Kitty. I’m glad your husband wasn’t elected President: he would have been a disaster worse than Obama or Clinton.
She was such an UNHAPPY DRUNK that she DRANK RUBBING ALCOHOL when he was running for Prez!!
