“he has rights.”
Uh, well, I’m not so sure about that
Since 2013?
Kick his law breaking ass out.
L
They’re wrong. He has no right to be in the US.
He does have rights! He has the right to get his ass booted back to India. AMF!
“My husband may not be a legal American citizen”
You know he ain’t.
so, GTFO
Every Last One.
This is a show to generate anger against deporting anyone. They will focus on these non-violent cases instead of the cartel and gang banger types that are the main focus.
During the last days of the Biden administration.
This fellow ignored his 2013 expiration, stayed and then married with knowledge that his visa was invalid. Quite a guy.....
Wrong! Not in US courts, he doesn't.
‘He has rights’
Tell him to move to Boston and the Mayor and her foolish followers will protect him.
Certainly this guy has rights. He has all the rights of an Indian in India when he returns to where he belongs. So Ashley, stay in the US or go to India your choice.
ICE should start looking at H1B & OPT holders to see if any can be removed.
I can’t believe ICE didn’t arrive with all the appropriate paperwork.
Using the term “threat” is inappropriate. He violated the law. Enforcing the law is not a threat. It’s a feature.
This is a sad case, not gonna lie. But, it was our lax border control and ICE enforcement that has allowed awkward situations like this to occur. This is totally on the Democrats for creating this mess. I’m sure they are going to use situations like this to gain sympathy for the law breakers... it’s what that party does.
The situation our country is in with illegal immigration will eventually smooth out and become less emotional if we keep supporting the administration.
Natuarlly the goal is to have: an ever vigilant border control regime, swift removal of people who over stay their work or student visas and strong support for legal immigration.
“My husband may not be a legal American citizen, but is a human being and he has rights.”
Yes, in India.
I have a single question for the wife...is he in violation of immigration law?
What’s unclear to me is the wife’s status. It’s implied she’s a US citizen. I thought marriage to a US citizen was the magic wand that made even the most unclean illegal a USCIT.
Is that not true?
He does have rights—in India.
I had a secretary one time who had married an illegal. They went through the legal process which involved her having to go with him to Mexico and live there for six months while he applied for a green card. That’s how it’s supposed to be done.
Illegal.
May be arrested any time, anywhere.
Can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.
Too bad, so sad.
He has rights in his own country, probably.
