This week saw one of the strangest movie promotional events ever. Skipping all the major cities, Disney decided to throw a premiere event for 100 people at a remote castle in Segovia, Spain. The main aim of Disney seems to have been to get the star of their movie — 23-year old Rachel Zegler — as far away from the public as possible.

In an interview, Zegler announced that the much-loved animated classic was “extremely dated.” As a film made in 1937 might well be. But it was the presumption of what she said next that set alarm bells ringing. “[Snow White’s] not going to be saved by the prince” Zegler told the cameras. “She’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be.”

Because “strong woman” is one of the boxes that almost every Hollywood film in recent years has checked. It does not even do to simply show a woman as the equal of a man. No — a truly preachy flop-eroo (like Amazon’s “Rings of Power”) must have strong women able to effortlessly overwhelm hordes of helpless armor-clad males. It doesn’t make any sense. But it’s not meant to. It’s simply meant to be good for us. Like eating our greens.

I am not expert on Disney princesses, but as far as I remember, Snow White has the same hair color as her.
The thing that the woke find problematic, is she was raped, because the prince kissed her when she was asleep?
(Now, it did bring her back to life. Does that mean everyone who does CPR on an unconscious person is raping them?)
If I recall, Rachel Zegler said the prince is a stalker, and unnecessary. The point of Snow White is leadership. She whipped those dwarves into shape.
I looked it up. How is she mulatto. She his zero reported black ancestry.

Back in the 80s they were planing a live action version of SW with full sized actors playing the dwarfs using camera tricks and other gimmicks. They were even planning a new dwarf named Slicey played by OJ Simpson.

To be honest, it’s not about what color she is, in my opinion, it’s that they destroyed the original story with non-dwarfs and a woke man-hater story.
In this movie the song “Some Day My Prince Will Come” is a complaint about his sexual inadequacy.
Definitely a fairies tale.
This was part of the deadly duo of movies where Disney took the whitest characters in a movie and race swapped them. The Little Mermaid lost movie and this one will lose even more, as they have made so many errors, all of which cost them money.
The fact they ended up with a Hamas supporting anti-American loudmouth who simply will NOT shut up was the bonus plan...
