BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Measles cases have surpassed over 200 across the U.S this year, with a majority coming from West Texas outbreaks. The rising cases is leading to a higher demand for the highly effective vaccine.

The measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine offers 97% protection from the measles virus after receiving both doses.

Rio Grande Valley Pediatrician Dr. Jason Burrell said he expects the vaccine to be in high demand as concern grows for the highly contagious disease. The New Horizon Health Center where he works offers the vaccine, even if you do not have insurance.

“I think we will see a lot more people get vaccinated just because it’s getting a lot of publicity right now if nothing else,” Dr. Burrell said.

As of Friday, nearly two dozen people were hospitalized in Texas with measles.

According to the  study in the (August 2024) has confirmed that the measles vaccine sheds in recently vaccinated children. The MMR vaccine RNA has been detected in the body 29 days after vaccination. The release of live attenuated virus from a recently vaccinated individual (vaccine shedding), can expose unvaccinated people to vaccine-derived virus through bodily fluids (respiratory secretions, urine etc), possibly leading to infection.

Recently, Jon Fleetwood broke the news that a West Texas measles outbreak followed a measles vaccination campaign in the region, and the question is whether vaccine shedding contributed to the surge in cases, and if public health officials are accounting for vaccine-derived measles RNA in outbreak investigations.

The total number doesn't indicate how severe the adverse event was, just the total number received. I don't trust vaccines these days because Fauci said mRNA platform was so successful, all vaccines in the US would shift to that platform. SO for those who choose the vax, make sure to really pin down which version you're getting.

I am speaking of vaccines in general. Since Covid scam everyone I know has shied away from the newer vaccines for themselves and their kids. I will not get the RSV vax for older folks because of it. I haven’t gotten or given to my kids an MMR since 1987 so I cannot speak to that one, only what they have perpetrated on us the last few years which does influence people today to resist any MRNA type shots.

Simply, by definition a vaccine will prevent you from acquiring a virus in 99% of cases. MRNA will not and you will more than likely catch it.

How do you know mRNA increases your chances of infection.

I am aware of MMR. As I said deceit with the handling of covid and forced vaccination with a non-vaccine has caused a backlash. Bottom line quit importing foreign trash. We have the same thing happening with TB in the Valley right now. It was eradicated years ago, so no vaccine was needed anymore until now. Pestilence from across the border.

I guess you are obtuse or just a vaccine enforcer and want to pick a squabble. I said I am not familiar with MMR since I have gotten or given one for over 36 years. I am speaking to the reluctance of people to trust any vaccine anymore which wasn’t as important until now when we start importing trash and pushing “vaccines” that are not vaccines.
