The indoor track championships in Virginia were marred by a brazen attack by one runner when she used the baton in her relay race as a weapon against an opponent.
The attack took place during the 4x200m relay event of the VSHL Class 3 State Indoor Championships held on the campus of Liberty University in Lynchburg.
Kaelen Tucker was running the second leg of the relay for Lynchburg's Brookville High School when she went to make a pass around another runner in a battle for second place.
Rather than fight fair, her opponent in that battle - who attended IC Norcom High School in the Hampton Roads area of the state - decided to take more aggressive action.
The Norcom runner wound her right arm back and smacked the baton she was carrying across Tucker's head as seen on video of the incident.
Gasps were heard inside the Liberty Indoor Track Complex as Tucker slowed down, stumbled, and then fell to the ground on the interior of the course.
Her mother and team trainers were seen rushing to her aid as the Norcom runner appeared to continue on her way.
'I still can't believe it, I'm in shock.' said Tucker, who is resting at home with her family, according to local ABC affiliate WSET. 'I'm still trying to take it all in, I can't believe it happened.'
Judges at the meet were able to see the attack and disqualified Norcom's team for 'contact interference' - or physically interfering with another runner's actions.
WSET says Tucker is currently being treated for a concussion and a possible skull fracture.

“”Let me guess””
I did not read the article. I just naturally assumed the AMISH went nuts again.
You didn’t qualify with Ben Carson and Tom Sowell
How
You can’t even have one here
Those are highly civilized, educated, Westernized men. I count myself with them - and of course there are the elites in any group or race.
Unfortunately, the group average for behaviour and achievement is a disaster and cannot be raised to the national average. Recursion to the mean is our statistical prison for large groups.
I thought of that. Al Green probably shouted “You go, girl” when he saw it on his $5,000 Sony - 98 inch BRAVIA XR X90L LED 4K UHD TV, whiskey glass at his side.
After watching his example the runner was like Sir Isaac Newton:
“I was standing on the shoulders of giants.”
When I lived around that area in the 80’s as one of those heavily-armed Marines, I avoided that area too. Lol.
This is what happens when a rabid animal goes too far out the cave.
me too... surprised.
Come out from amongst them and BE YE SEPARATE says the Lord... and (then)I will receive you.
God is going to war with AGAG and AMALEK in this NOW generation.
black on black violence
probably just another angry lesbian acting out against a suspected “privileged” white straight female christian (at some level)
I would sue the runner, the coach, and the school, each for enough to leave a mark. I’d also file felony criminal charges for assault with a weapon against the runner.
“One of these days this country is going to have to come together and have a frank discussion.”
About why we tolerate these animals in our society?
There is only one culture that causes most of our crime and violence( on a per capita basis).
It’s not like the runner cut her off. Perp finished 2nd anyway.
Isn’t that allowed in Negro Racing Rules?
More or less exactly what you would expect.
There’s a Ghetto League? Who knew?
And she only was “disqualified”? Cops should’ve been there with handcuffs within 30 minutes. What the hell anyway?
The victim and her mother are named but the no-impulse-control attacker is not named?!? Not in any of the news articles I checked. And the attacker’s name were readily available to the so-called news organizations at that state indoor meet.
These faux-reporters are a disgrace to journalism and a mockery to the First Amendment.
Its okay... the liberal (likely bisexual black girl) only hit the Christian Black Girl from Liberty Christian in the head, cracking the skull... but JUST a little.
Uh huh.
