The Eagles
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
ZZ Top
Lee Greenwood
Elton John
"Weird Al" Yankovic (seven times)

There are probably others but those are the ones that readily came to mind.

I interviewed Weird Al for a Star Wars website a week and a half before 9/11. He's remembered me every time we've met since (about half a dozen). Super nice guy.

lol. The plasmatics.

There was a Christian rock band I saw a couple times, but forgot to list called Resurrection Band, later Rez Band. Apparently one show their equipment didn’t arrive and the plasmatics lent them their stuff for the show.

Ha ha! That is an odd mix!!

Glad you mentioned that. My very first concert, ever, was at Red Rocks for a Christian band called “Stryper”. They dressed like bees. Do you remember them?

Stryker?

Lmao.

Of course I do.

I could only listen to Christian music growing up.

To hell with the devil

God they were horrible, but they at least were loud.

Never saw them live, but I saw Petra, servant, resurrection band, Larry Norman, and a few others. Then I got a job and a car and no more of that.

I am not much one for crowds. I use to get free tickets from a lovely woman I dated way back when. The most boring of the concerts was Cold Play. The most fun was probably Willie Nelson. Although... Chris Isaak and the Silvertones was fun because girls were strutting around topless after throwing bras at him. I saw one of the last ZZ Top shows before Dusty died but they were quite boring in person.

No, it was late 70s since Dave Mason opened for them. He did his song “We Just Disagree.”

The Stones at CU Boulder, 1982, was memorable. Flew in on a helicopter after circling us and waving down. Dealers were walking around selling strips of acid as if they were stadium cotton candy vendors! “Acid! Acid! Acid here!”

You reminded me of this story.

I was dating a girl who knew a bouncer at toad’s place in New Haven. The Rolling Stones played a secret show before their Steel Wheels tour there.

She knew about it.

Didn’t think to tell me.

We broke up.
