I like animal fats.
Brought to you by eat your soy/eat ze bugs foundation.
Yup. How is the butter being consumed? Slathered on what? Vs oil slathered on what?
Absolute BS article. Makes me think of the Jedi mind trick, as they wave their hand in front of someone’s face, “plant butter is better for you”. F off.
I butter my hog bacon.
I, too, encountered several items that stopped me, making me ask, "Whuh?"
And sometimes, for no good reason, you run smack into elements that are just too goofy for words, e.g.:
Dong Wang, MD, ScD, of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. . .
From my own experience (based on blood work, not a formal study), I’ve noticed that if I eat too many carbs, fats (including butter) seem to become a problem. But when I stick to very low-carb or carnivore eating, fats are no longer an issue—likely because I’m fat-adapted.
These are the studies that Fedgov throws money to. There is much to decifer but there’s a good amount of BS spread through out.
That is because this study is nonsense.
Exactly right. Not all plant-based oils are good for you. Just use extra virgin olive oil. I read that imported olive oils may contain some doubtful oil, so I buy California Olive Ranch oil. It comes in a glass bottle, which is important too.
As for butter, I vaguely remember what that is, haven’t touched it in decades, it’s saturated artery-clogging fat.
I like butter and eat it daily.
I like animal fats and save my bacon grease! yum
If I fry something I generally use olive oil...
No idea if I’m eating as I should but I’m eating as I prefer..
I believe dairy is demonized and seed oils (sunflower see, safflower seed, soy bean, canola etc.) are toxic but praised because these are the same people telling us to eat bugs. This agenda - seed oils - is to get rid of meat, dairy etc. and make us plant based. Brian cates has a good article about this. I'll put a few graphics below but those interested are encouraged to read at the link. What If Everything They’ve Been Telling You About Food Is… WRONG?
By Brian Cates
Government ‘health’ experts working hand-in-glove with Big Food corporations convinced most Americans to stop cooking their food with butter, lard, and tallow, and instead use the new ‘Crisco’ and other highly processed seed oils and margarine. Because they claimed these new processed products were ‘healthier’.
Bkmk
I guess we can throw out a study from a few years back that said butter is better than vegetable oils/margarine?
I’m going to stick with my “rural Pennsylvania family diet.” My parents, their 7 siblings, and my grandparents all lived into their 80s and 90s eating lots of red meat, potatoes, dairy, etc.
My grandmothers died at 95 and 96, and their diets were the same every day - eggs, sausage/bacon, toast, coffee for breakfast, and meat/potatoes/vegetable for lunch and dinner. Dessert was usually cookies or pie or cake or ice cream. Not a lot of processed foods. My grandfathers died at 80 and 86, and would have lived longer if they hadn’t smoked like chimneys!
My guess, is animal fat is better than more plant oils. The reason that I think this is because the ones promoting plant oils have an agenda: veganism, billgatesism, weirdoism.
For years they promoted Mazolla margarine as "better" because of corn oil. It turns out that corn oil really isn't good for you after all.
I'm willing to bet that the "plant oil people" are mostly leftists and democrats.
Last week it was just the opposite.
I am not impressed by the study. Self reporting of such small amounts is fraught with error.
Yeah bla bla bla. Can’t even think how many “studies” over the decades turned out to be bullshit.
Eggs are good
Eggs are bad
Coffee is good
Coffee is bad
Butter is good
Butter is bad
It’s always research money sloshing one way or another. None of this has anything to do with “science”.
who paid for the study?
