Sometimes that is a fleeting state. I read the Whipple Survivor group on Facebook. There is an unsettling pattern for people who have ampullary cancer fixed by a Whipple. Nominally two years "disease free", then a sudden recurrence kills them in around 6 weeks. I'm 8 months into the countdown. A chat with grok3 evaluating my details says 33% to 38% for 5 year survival unless a recurrence happens. Then you get under 12 months.
It's sad to see another person lose the battle.
