I sat in a restaurant listening to the black woman in the booth behind me describe her trip to Africa to find her roots to her lunch companion. I’m condensing it.
You have no idea what prejudice is. They can look at you and tell you’re not from their tribe. I’ve never felt so threatened. If it weren’t for the armed guards, I’d be dead. Everybody there hated everyone else because they look different. They’re all black and skin color doesn’t matter.
Sounds like a country song. :)
Chris Rock said, “Who’s more racist, white people or black people? Black people, because we hate black people, too!”
Buh bye.
Brilliant move. We could set up an exchange program with the white farmers escaping South Africa.
I remember reading of riots in the 1840s when Whites in power suggested freed blacks move to Africa. They blacks said they had NOTHING IN COMMON with Africa and refused, rioting against the idea.
Now the idea is come full circle again this time from the Black Community.
There is no racism in Africa, go and find out.
Reminds me of an old Richard Pryor televangelist skit.....Rev James L White ... BTAM.
She studied Business Marketing at Florida State University
I think I see the problem.
When Muhammad Ali was in Zaire for the George Foreman fight, they asked him what he thought of Africa, and he responded, “Thank God my Granddaddy Got On That Boat!”
I've read of at least one case of a slave, before the Civil War, being offered his freedom if he would then move to Liberia--he turned down the offer.
This. And Africans refer to anyone educated in the US, UK, or Canada as a "white guy".
That’ll fix us.
And I always thought saying , “Go back to Africa” was a hateful and racist thing to say.
She can take her whole family with her. Probably start one of the big fights you see all the time.
For years I had black people living nextdoor on both sides....American blacks on the right, on the left a family that emigrated from Ghana west Africa.
The American blacks couldn’t even take care of the yard much less the home, eventually losing it to repossession.
The couple that emigrated from Ghana west Africa raised 3 children, all went to college.
One is a nurse one is in IT security and the youngest is a college freshman.
The contrast in culture couldn’t be more stark.
A flipper bought the repossessed house and told me it was in the worst condition of any house he has ever remodeled.
How do you lose a kitchen drawer? 🤷
“It won’t, though: “Wherever you go, there you are.”
Great line from a great movie.

With the exception of the Somalians, most of the Africans who do come here tend to come from relatively well-to-do families.
She should set the example and go first.
