So far my bouts have been mild...likely because I work at keeping my immune system strong
My dad lived to 97. Healthy as a horse til 3 months before he died. I think our immune systems are just fine. If shingles shot works for you great. Not for me.

I didn’t get the vaccine and I got shingles. They were very painful, but the pain went away when my doctor gave me a prescription. I think it was for Gabapentin. The pain left quickly and completely.
