That’s true. It sometimes annoys me.

English language, like Judeo-Christianity, love of country and our Constitution is fundamental to a cohesive American society that no enemy can defeat.

Asking Congress to get of it’s ass and do something positive
for the nation, might be asking too much, even now.

This EO rescinds EO13166 which Clinton signed in 2000, which mandated that service be provided to non-English proficient people at any facility which accepted federal money.

It converted the US into a multilingual country overnight, and was opposed vociferously by such organizations as English First. And a massive phone campaign, which Billy Jeff ignored.

Since then Bush 43 had two terms to rescind it, and didn’t.

Trump 45 could have, but with all the poo being thrown at him, it was near the bottom of the list.

This time for the win. He has gone above and beyond his mandate to take us back to the America we knew.

What’s appalling is the WSJ making a stupid statement like the US has never had an official language. Of course it has, it’s the language that the Constitution was written in, and all Federal laws. It was even debated by the Founders - German was considered because of Pennsylvania Dutch and Carolina Baptists who were virtually all German (my ancestors , e.g.).

But the decision was English, and no one said you couldn’t speak your ancestral tongue, but business of the State was to be conducted in English.

The intentional dissolving of the Bonds of Our Union is being reversed.

LONG overdue!
And of immense benifit to immigrants and even the invading illegals.
No one gets into the higher work positions without being able to speak English.
There have also been mass casualty events due to inability to speak or understand English.

I am done with being treated as racist for not pronouncing last names with different sounds, as if my language is on its way out.

We have problems with first names too. Note the trend black folks have been indulging in giving their children names that, to them, sound African - usually ending up meaningless to the forty or so languages on that continent.

But my cynical side says they do this to make the youngster angry for life because whitey can't spell his or her name right without asking. On the flip side it helps when the press refuses to describe or post photos of a perpetrator.

"Denontai Rufus Jefferson-Swizzlestick, suspected Menonite supremacist, was arrested for robbing..."
