Musk stunned as dozens of DOGE staff suddenly QUIT with scathing letter... as eye-watering new savings figure is revealed

DOGE workers are revolting against Elon Musk and Donald Trump by signing a dramatic resignation letter vowing not to defund 'public services.'

'We swore to serve the American people and uphold our oath to the Constitution across presidential administrations,' 21 former DOGE staffers wrote in a letter first reported on by AP.

These ex-DOGE workers, who are not part of Musk's personally hired nerd army, said that they refuse to 'dismantle critical public services' being slashed.

All of the now-resigned workers were a part of the U.S. Digital Service (USDS), the small government department of roughly 100 workers that Musk turned into DOGE.

Since the billionaire's takeover of the department, DOGE has fired 40 of those workers.

In the last month, DOGE has rampaged through many federal agencies demanding access to sensitive data, sit-down performance reviews with agency employees and, most recently, email receipts of what federal employees achieve in any given week.

'Several of these interviewers refused to identify themselves, asked questions about political loyalty, attempted to pit colleagues against each other, and demonstrated limited technical ability,' the staffers revealed in their letter, seemingly slamming the DOGE workers who quizzed them as hostile.

'This process created significant security risks,' they wrote.

But DOGE Spokeswoman Katie Miller posted on X that the workers who signed the letters 'were full remote workers who hung Trans flags from their workplaces.'

“Any proof of this. The commie RATS at Daily Mail UK aren’t very credible, IMHO. We need some evidence this is true.”

Misleading Daily Mail headline. These aren’t Musk’s people.

Sounds like calling them DOGE is deliberately misleading. They may have been tasked with assisting DOGE but they were never “DOGE”

All I needed to see.

Another lie in a headline.

What I have read is these people where from Obama era to do the Healthcare website. All a set up.

https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/wireStory/21-federal-technology-staffers-resign-musk-doge-slash-119165963

from the article

The staffers who resigned worked for what was once known as the United States Digital Service, an office established during President Barack Obama’s administration after the botched rollout of Healthcare.gov, the web portal that millions of Americans use to sign up for insurance plans through the Democrat’s signature health care law.

All had previously held senior roles at such tech companies as Google and Amazon and wrote in their resignation letter that they joined the government out of a sense of duty to public service.

Musk inherited 100 Obama holdovers in that tech office renamed DOGE. 40 were fired immediately, 21 just resigned, leaving approximately 40 left. He’s cut his own department by two thirds in only a month.

Excellent work.

They’ve been there since the Obamacare fiasco, what have they accomplished since then?

It sounds like these were the very ones that needed to go already. This just saves Musk the trouble of rooting them out and firing them

The people who quit were part of the government bloat - NOT part of the original team.

Read the fine print - these guys were legacy US Digital Service, not DOGE.

Before the election, I would say 50 per cent of the Daily Mail’s reporting on national affairs and politics was worth reading.

Since Trump took office, I’m having trouble finding 20 per cent worth reading.

The headlines are little more than click bait.

The body of the story is framed to align with the headline.

And often as in this story what little relevant fact can be found is buried at the end.

The people who quit were NOT Musk hires.

And as usual most didn’t read the article before they got all upset.

LOL True that. If FR was a govt dept, Musk would recommend firing most of us. LOL

“Stunned? Really?”

Fake made up headline. Musk is happy to smoke them out. They weren’t his guys, they were existing Fed lackeys integrated into the new DOGE Dept. 20% turnover, pfft, they will be easily replaced.

This is a good thing.
More worthless bad employees purged out before actually being fired.

Get the hell rid of them then. We’re all about cleaning out the worthless garbage like them now. It’s a bright new day and they don’t need to be any part of it.

DOGE was started by Obama. The media will obfuscate. Careful.
