Yes, good to be self sufficient but you can spread yourself too thin with a universe of chores. Good to have money as a means of exchange so you can rely on others in your community to provide you with milk, gasoline, beer, x-rays, and knee surgery!

So No you do not want to be milking cows when you should be looking through the picture window watching the snow fall while you crochet and enjoy hot cocoa!

Bear bait.... Road kill deer hanging in a maple tree to "Age" with a bucket of rotting fish on the ground nearby. (Bear bait, badger bait, wolf bait, coyote bait, etc.) Could find some for free covered in sawdust ripening at at the local DOT depot. (Goodnight!)

Bear Bait: Huge, pallet sized boxes of raw cookie dough and broken cookies! They DO mix it with leftover fish-fry oil for that special touch the bears love so much. Irresistible!
