It serves the state right. They were trying to shake “Kentucky Fried Chicken” down for trademark fees on “Kentucky”! That was part of the impetus leading to the corporate name change. The state backed off, but too late. Damage was done.

I thought Church’s was considered Texas fried chicken. They use that name abroad, especially in Muslim countries where people might be offended at a business called Church's. I don't know that they use it here in the U.S.
