Jill Biden shows off her new 'buddy' as she moves away from life in the White House

Life beyond the Oval Office has taken shape for former First Lady Jill Biden. The former teacher shared a glimpse into this new chapter with her Instagram followers, posting an endearing snap of their cat, Willow, amidst moving boxes, with the caption: "Best unpacking buddy."

Former President Joe Biden has often said he has two homes in Ireland and Delaware. Upon leaving the White House, Biden said he and Jill were set to return to the coast once he left the presidential office.

However, it's not been all rosy as there was a touch of frustration at how his tenure was cut short, but some supporters conceded that the 81-year-old, nudged by party peers to step back, was showing signs of age. Now, the couple has moved back to the Blue Hen State, adjusting to retirement and playing with their pet.

With the Biden dogs, Major and Commander, no longer running around the White House, it's Willow, the cat, who’s keeping the family company.

Interestingly, the Trump clan steered clear of pet companionship in the Executive Manison, breaking a long-standing tradition.

We all know the dogs were just there for photo opportunities. Now that that’s not a concern, I have to wonder if they still have the dogs. The article doesn’t seem to say.
