With the left depressed in 2025, much of the cultural energy belongs to the right. But where’s it going to go?
One increasing possibility appears to be that newly self-confident right-wingers are getting into various kinds of New Age woo, the occult, gnosticism, RFK Jr. junk science, paganism, Indian esotericism, Chinese numerology, health food fads, etc. In other words, all the old craziness satirized by Umberto Eco in Foucault’s Pendulum, plus some new innovations like AI cults and God knows what else.
G. K. Chesterton supposedly said, “The first effect of not believing in God is to believe in anything.” (Note that Chesterton never quite said that: This most famous Chestertonian epigram is actually an admirably succinct paraphrased summation of G. K.’s train of thought by his admirer Émile Cammaerts.)
The current right-wing coalition between tech bros and chuds opens up all sorts of possibilities, both highbrow and lowbrow.
For example, Silicon Valley is into psychedelic drugs lately.
And much of New Age is motivated by physical discomforts suffered by aging humans, which they like to blame on poisoning. Hitler blamed race poisons, others blame seed oils and microplastics.

Funny how your argument against my post comes without substance.
I’d say your problem is far worse than what you try to say mine is, if my suspicions about you are correct.
It’s fine for one person to admit they can’t see what another can. But to extend to an assertion that the thing doesn’t exist is disingenuous at best.
Two or three points can help fill in some time of the areas missing from your perspective.
1. Gloria Steinem pretended not to be a CIA agent as her spearheading of the feminist movement caused it to grow to nationwide proportions.
2. The military-industrial complex acted like they had nothing to do with planting the seeds of the hippie movement in Laurel Canyon in 1966.
But come to think of it, maybe where you have the most difficulty (or would claim to) is in seeing the connection between the military industrial complex and the occult.
You claimed that some nefarious "cabal" rules the world and makes everyone see/hear/watch engage in whatever they deem we should. Or were you just being flippant?
How many 100s of years would say that that has been going on, or...are you talking ONLY about say that last 100, 50, or 10 years? Please specify.
So besides world wide, perhaps you'll allow me to only discuss America, AFTER I begin the lecture several millennia ago.
Depending upon the country/empire ( I am leaving out much earlier times )the emperor/king/leading elites and to some extent, depending upon the nation, the top elites of the local religion/s were not only the arbiters of good taste, re songs, plays, entertainments, they did NOT prohibit lesser forms, for the lower classes, who mainly entertained themselves to some extent or another.
Fast forward to Christianized Europe, and the Pope/the Catholic church made many/most rulings on music/entertainments; however, due to cultural differences, as well as class systems, these "rules"/religious laws were often ignored to some extent or other.
Quickly moving forwards in time and space, but still 100s of years ago, still sans your world wide "Cabal", due to the nature of humankind, yes, many of the lower classes would find some interest in what the elites were enjoying, re music, dance, and some of the other entertainments then "trendy"/popular.
With travel made available to more people, different cultures were brought to different places ( think colonial America ), which in turn, were then strengthened and/or changed, through the generations and people being able to change classes more easily here, than they had been in Europe.
Still and all,due to human nature being what it was and is, people were and still are drawn to things which you may disapprove of or not; with NO outside help/interference/prodding at all! Ergo...POOF goes your "conspiracy theory"!
Going back to say the mid 1800s...there was an explosion of spiritualism, the occult, and many different kinds of music and play available both here and abroad. And NO ONE GROUP OF SUPPOSED ELITES WAS DIRECTING ANY OF THAT, ANYWHERE!
Opera, ballet, operettas, and many different kinds of less formal music were popular everywhere! RAGTIME, which originated in Southern whorehouses came north and became popular music. Dances to it were invented and all kinds of different classes did those dances!
A few years later and such dances as the the Tango ( South American thug subculture ), the Apache ( low class French gang subculture ), were being danced by middle class, upper middle class, and even elites at Tea Dances. AND NO DAMNED CABAL HAD A HAND IN THAT!
I can easily go on and on and on and ON with examples and more historical facts, but I've probably bored most who might have begun to read this comment and IF you STILL haven't "got it", from this very brief lesson, then NOTHING I can write is going to change your mind and I have wasted time and effort, that could have been used in a much more profitable way.
So the original Suffragists ( who were anti-abortion, BTW ) were part of the CIA or FBI, which did NOT exist back then? Which is also true of the later Suffragette movement!
And THAT example has less than NOTHING at all to do with the occult, spiritualism, dope, music, dancing trends, or other entertainment, which are all part and parcel of the article being discussed.
And maybe, JUST MAYBE, your abject lack of historical facts, and inability to comprehend what’s in the article ( DID YOU EVEN READ THE ARTICLE ? )is hindering your ability to make a cogent comment on a topic you are having great difficulty responding to.
The “military industrial complex” did NOT exist in 1854!
But nothing you posted contradicts what I said.
Let’s make this simple, which is the mark of clear thinking.
Elites have always tried to control the masses. However, cultural trends come from both groups.
A thousand years ago it was the Popes and the kings. In our time, it’s the CIA, who derive their methods both from tradition and from recent advances in experimentation. The CIA answers to the bankers, who in turn answer to members of elite families who remain hidden from the public. These families practice occult religion. They hate God, which means they oppose truth, and is the measure of their low IQ.
No. Calm yourself, you’re losing the ability to concentrate.
The original women’s movement was good. It got taken over by the parasitic elite, just like every other good thing started by normal people.
“The ‘military industrial complex’ did NOT exist in 1854!”
Did any group of controlling elitists exist in 1854?
Can you identify what changes about these groups over the centuries, and what stays the same?
Facts are one thing.
Knowing how to process them is another.
You claim I “lack” facts, yet no basis for this appears in my posts or in yours.
In my posts, I came an overview, including eras and some specific dates, of when spiritualism, the occult, drug use, "feminism",etc. was active amongst the populace of the USA ( and also in Europe and the UK ! ), that PRE-DATES the "military industrial complex, the CIA, and the FBI; all of which you have chosen to ignore!
I could have gone even deeper into all of it, but didn't, because what I have posted to this thread and to YOU, should have been more than enough.
And my last post, re the Fox sisters of New England, began in 1854, which predates ALL of your conspiracy theories; blows them sky high and to bits.
Now, sadly, you are just making yourself look foolish by ignoring the facts that I posted, making false claims about me, and not even trying to refute ( which you can NOT do ) what I wrote with factual examples of your own.
This is coming from people who demand men be treated like women.
I addressed what you posted. All of it.
Some of my replies were in the form of questions, in the thought that you could figure it out. See post #50, linked below. And review post #48, also linked below.
I’ll answer the questions for you though, in this post. The basic idea is that the elites always do the same thing, since the beginning, and that their actions transcend names and dates. The names of elite groups change over time. Any powerful group or movement that starts as benevolent is infiltrated by the malevolent elite.
FBI, CIA, the Knights of the Round Table, the Pharisees, the military industrial complex, the Committee of 300, the Catholic Church, most if not all of the theological seminaries, to name a few elite groups with various names from random centuries.
The elite always use spiritualism and take control of popular ideas to manipulate normal people. Feminism, the real kind that elevated women, came around long before the CIA took over it for their own purposes.

JPL bumpity.
The things Jack Parsons did always struck me as highly paradoxical when viewed through the lens of the mainstream perspective (what we’ve always been taught).
As do the occult religious beliefs of others of the most influential scientists of the early 20th century.
