Sunk deep into shaven and elaborately tattooed skulls, a hundred pairs of eyes – hollow and dark –are boring directly into mine. The men they belong to have committed crimes evil almost beyond comprehension.
Members of two of the most savage rival gangs the world has seen, El Salvador’s Ms-13 and Barrio 18, they raped and tortured, murdered and mutilated, cut bodies to pieces and strewed them around the streets to strike terror in the neighbourhoods they controlled.
On my journey to the world-renowned prison that holds them, the Latin American country’s new Terrorism Confinement Centre (CECOT), my government escorts had shown me photographic evidence of their grisly handiwork.
One man had been impaled with a tree branch through his torso before being decapitated; another was anally gang-raped before being tied to a car and dragged to his death.
Standing a few feet away from the cage holding 100 perpetrators of this kind of savagery – one of 32 mass cells that line Module 8 in the vast fortress prison – is a deeply unnerving experience.

El Salvador has no death penalty is why
I lived in El Salvador during the bad years. The two daughters of my pastor’s housekeeper were sliced and diced.
Give them the Gospel everyday, yes. Be deliberate in evaluating evidence. But screw them.
The changes in El Salvador is a monument to what the world could look like if it punishes correctly.
I have no sympathy for the El Salvadoran prisoners but I don’t think we should send Americans there.
The repentant criminal during Jesus’ crucifixion got the Gospel in a few moments.
Jesus did not float him down off the cross.
Crimes against humans are suppose to be punished by human justice.
It is one of the first laws given to the entire human race when we walked out of the ark.
The prison is certainly impressive and breathtaking , but I tend to think that operation model will ultimately, be seen as not sustainable over time. All it would take is mutiny and guards held as hostages in several different points of the facility to destabilize it. Until then lock ‘em up! Because these are men who have proven themselves to be unfit for civilized society.
Uh Oh....Ear Worm Alert!
Did he ever report on the prison conditions of the Stop the Steal Protesters?

When your favorite dog catches rabies, you have no choice but to put it down. There’s not a single soul there that belongs to those gangs that hasn’t committed a murder impressive enough to allow them to belong to the “club”.
If they’re gang members I have no problem sending them there.....none at all.
I frequently watched and viewed the arrests when they first began..... then when they first took them to this prison. As well what they did to those they brutalized and their families....would be on the order of ISSIS style and worse.
The ultimate faFO
Not everyone rounded up is a murderer or similar. Some were impressed into the gangs under threat of death (or death to family members), and may not have participated in severe crimes. So it is taking a good while to sort it all out, as some will eventually be released. But due process to avoid errors either way is important, and takes time.
As an example, a few months ago I was at a home for teen mothers in San Salvador. One 14 year old mother had grown up in a gang. Her mother had been seized from her family when she was ten years old. The gangsters made it clear they would kill her parents if she wasn't given to them. A few years later she gave birth to the girl I met. When the big roundup happened, all the adult gangsters were seized. Someone offered to take in the girl, but instead they made her a sex slave and trafficked her, then dumped her on the streets when she became pregnant. Sorting out her mother's culpability or lack thereof needs to be done with care and consideration.
That was entirely the work of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t dance to man’s timing.
Didn’t say it did. But even then, man can reject the Spirit.
Just kill them.
No loss.
What a great place to send violent criminal illegal aliens and an even greater place to potentially send swamp dwellers convicted of treason. Just saying. I also like the idea that the DOD is expanding the holding capacity at GITMO.
Nacht und Nebel taken to new heights, or is it depths ?
