I have had this account on FR since maybe 2012 and I have never heard of USAID until early last week. I am obviously not defending the corrupt organization but just never once heard of it.

Even when the tea party was up and coming trying to reign in government spending not once did I ever hear this organization mentioned.

Same here. It speaks to how committed politicians were to keeping it on the down-low. That's shady in and of itself.

Freeper Holyscroller died in 2020, but back in the late 60's and early 70's, she published a newspaper called the Silent Majority V.O.I.C.E. (Voter's Objective Information about Current Events). The "silent majority" has always been a moniker for conservatives.

I have mentioned this a few times—but in case you have not seen it.

This was a wonderful book about cults written in the 1950s:

Their conclusion—a cult member’s belief in the cult can only be destroyed with three failed predictions.

The black community’s faith in the Democratic Party has been cult-like.

It will take three major breaches of faith to lose that support—and that is evaluated by individuals one at a time.

That is why exposing government waste, fraud, abuse and evil is so critical. Different items will “hit” with different individual Democrats.

It is not appropriate to throw a bunch of folks in one big bucket.

We need to deprogram them one at a time.
