President Trump’s brilliant Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, Stephen Miller, schooled CNN host Jake Tapper over Trump’s immigration policies.
The Trump Administration began its immigration raids and deportation operations on day one of Trump 2.0 last week.
As of Tuesday, ICE has arrested more than 3,500 illegal aliens since Trump was sworn into office last week.
Jake Tapper tried to get Stephen Miller with a gotcha question on the whole “who’s going to pick the crops” argument but he ended up getting schooled.

I probably would have responded: "Jake, you sound like an 1850s plantation owner asking who is going to pick the cotton"
Trying to spread the word! Thanks for the ping today, I enjoyed it!
My pleasure, rlmorel!
The left sure pivots to their servants-slave class, every time. Even the virtue signaling Reverend Budde detailed the need of their plantations for slaves on national television.
Crapper obviously has a specious argument. Grocery prices have not gone down in fact have skyrocketed all the while illegal aliens have been flown in by the hundreds of thousands.
These illegals are not doing any crop picking but engaging in every criminal and evil act.
Democrats sure are mad that Republicans are taking their slaves away again.
I buy beef, pork, chicken and eggs from local farmers.
They also have seasonal vegetables and even store and sell potatoes, onions, leeks, etc.. through the winter
So it seems Americans are perfectly willing and able to “pick the crops” — especially when they own the land, can support their families, aren’t harassed by government, and don’t have big Agri or Walmart in the middle.
I just made a rhubarb crisp from frozen Rhubarb I picked from my garden last year, it was wonderful.
The Democrats serve the upper middle class college educated professionals.
Whose big need is for a docile and compliant servant class.
Thus they are big fans of illegals, and also H1B servants.
We have 112 acres in dairy cow feed and bedding production, (corn, wheat, Timothy hay, soybean) and we somehow manage to get it all picked with a crew of four, ‘white guys/gals.’
I’m not worried. The work will get done without the help of illegals.
Love rhubarb

Exactly! If working the fields is such a cruel, soul killing, degrading, less than living wage slave-like job, why are liberals like Tapper so anxious to have it filled by the little brown people?
Which then begs the question: Why do Liberals claim it’s work that Americans won’t do?
Wish I had laying hens again. They used to lay regular eggs, now it is Golden Eggs. I used to give the eggs away at Church, free.
I remember 1968. A local chicken hatchery operator could not get help because he refused to pay an extra 25 cents an hour to his workers. So he went to Mexico and brought in LEGAL Mexican workers who did the job. The locals hated them as they were OUTSIDERS (they hated ALL outsiders no matter what race, color or religion.)
The oldsters have died off an our area of the US is booming in work now.
But again, those imported were LEGAL. Only problem this area has had is with the import of Somalis.
Why pick crops when they can live on welfare? 😉
I don’t think there are a lot of crops being picked in Chicago or Boston or New York City but I guess Jake Tapper thinks there are.
No one cares about the legal and illegal people picking crops.
They have somewhere between a really long time and never to worry about this.
We are not going to deport crop pickers. Ain’t no replacements.
The focus currently is on criminals.
If a crop picker is picked up and deported, well, you rolled the dice coming here and it’s not like you are going to be homeless when you are returned to your country of origin.
You will live out your days in abject poverty but, at least you tried.
exactly and have a side hustle as human trafficker and drug dealer.
