Sorry, Homan. Damned autocorrect.
But why the constant assurance on who DHS is NOT going after? Why do many caveats? Why the virtue signaling?
Probably because they don’t want to be equated with German Nazis who were going after Jews.
I have seen a meme out there that shows two pictures. The top one is of Hispanic looking kids and a couple female adults, happy and smiling. That picture is titled ‘We’re not going after these...’
The bottom picture is of some tatted-up young males, mugging for the camera like they’re some kind of tough guys. That picture’s caption, ‘We’re going after these.’
I just hope they don’t start offering cash rewards for turning people in. The Nazis really DID do that. We don’t need that.
Two things:
By my calculations, removing illegals at 1,000 per day would still take 82 years to remove the 30,000,000 who are here. I doubt that number is high, and it might be low.
A clock that's only accurate to milliseconds is not really all that good. If you can only synchronize your GPS receiver to within 1 millisecond of the clocks in the satellites, you'd have an error of about 1,000 feet. GPS receivers and satellites have to be within just a few nanoseconds of each other to be accurate.
Supposedly going for the most dangerous first, but all are eligible for deportation, so any illegals caught in pursuit of the former get booted too.
And yeah, makes me worry that they’ll never get to the bulk of ‘em.
All illegal aliens have violated federal law and therefore are criminals. Mayorkas, NGOs and churches, and local government official should be arrested under Section 8 ss 1324 harboring and aiding and abetting.
Homan the Human! :)
ILLEGALS ARE CRIMINALS
8 U.S. Code § 1325 - Improper entry by alien
a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such OFFENSE, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.
Don’t remember any ICE whistleblowers though.
It’s a fantasy to believe illegals are going to self deport en masse. They will dig in, they will require physical assistance to leave.
Oh, c’mon now. They weren’t criminals if they were doing what BeijingBiden did — at least in the areas related to child abuse.
That’s why changing conditions to force self-deportation is best.
Over 18 billion dollars has been given to Ukraine for what while 1.8 to complete the wall was deemed “too much”. Which, compared to the overall costs of allowing illegals here (estimated one Trillion), is a mere drop in the bucket.
The costs go beyond monetary. Medical quality, education, civics and binding culture are also eroded while religious influence continues to be replaced with blind adherence to big government.
Some are leaving. I have no doubt many will go kicking and screaming
“I do not like how DHS is going out of their way to distinguish between the run-of-the-mill illegal aliens and the so called “criminal” illegal aliens.”
Border Czar Tom Homan has been explicit (and he is exceptionally frank and direct), that they are prioritizing their limited resources.
He uses the term “aperture” for how big of an opening they can push deportees through (capacity). He has clearly stated that the aperture will be opening wider - they have planned to ramp up.
But since they cannot physically arrest and deport all illegals in short order, they are (wisely, I think) focusing their resources on the biggest threats first - terrorists, organized crime syndicates (gangs) and dangerous violent criminals. Homan has been explicit in recent televised interviews that anyone in the Country illegally is on the table for deportation, and that those collateral non-violent illegals who were identified during operations to arrest targeted individuals, are also being deported. So they are not letting any go, once in custody.
Another Freeper on another thread pointed out that Sunday’s surge in arrests, if sustained, would still take 68 years to deport the illegals believed to be in the Country today. They have to pick their shots, to make best use of what they can do.
The Trump Administration has clearly planned for this, and in the very first days of the Administration, multiple other Law Enforcement Agencies of the US Government were already reinforcing ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, in well coordinated task forces. The National Emergencies Act has already been invoked by the President (in the first hours of his Administration), to activate the large resources of the Military (Military Airlift Command is already conducting a significant International transportation effort). State and Local Law Enforcement in many areas (notably Texas) are also already participating in ICE efforts in a pre-planned and well coordinated way. Frankly, it is very impressive how quickly they have hit the ground running.
The long pole in the tent will be obtaining significant additional resources from Congress (including full Border Wall funding), which will likely unfold over the next few months.
Duh. Everyone knows where the bad guys are and the sanctuary mayors and governors prevent ICE from doing its job. They should be arrested for harboring felons.
“They weren’t criminals if they were doing what BeijingBiden did — at least in the areas related to child abuse.”
I read of an ICE raid in recent days in Fairfax Virginia (Beacon Hill Apartments), where two young boys were chained up.
There is some real trash that needs to be taken out.
They're "transforming America", remember?
The Nazis really DID do that. We don’t need that.

with respect...
the nazis also wiped their butts
so should we stop that too ?
Tom Homan has already stated his intent to prosecute those Local officials who violate the law (which he specifically cited by its number in the US Code), in television broadcast interviews.
It seems to be part of the plan. Who will be the first fool to get their head on a spike?
