I said get them out of the schools. The parents will band together and curriculum is available.

There really are no standards so anything the parents and community do will be better than what these government facilities provide..
I have spent the last 40 years around parents who have opted to leave.
Parents who can’t or won’t will have their kids trapped in the ever failing system

Wow! So, will any hillbilly be allowed to set the standards for language and literature? Choose which history lessons are useful? Designate the level of mathematics needed in all walks of life? Do I have to put up with choices of other parents who see no reason to learn chemistry or physics?
You really haven't taken note of what I am trying to tell you: It is mostly the parents that CAUSED the degradation of the schools. That MUST be recognized and taken into account. Otherwise, what spoiled the public schools will also spoil these new endeavors.
You and I hold better views of child rearing and education than the vast majority of parents. A collective of two well-educated and properly functioning parents combined with hundreds of dip-shits will not produce a decent education.
