You really haven't taken note of what I am trying to tell you: It is mostly the parents that CAUSED the degradation of the schools. That MUST be recognized and taken into account. Otherwise, what spoiled the public schools will also spoil these new endeavors.
You and I hold better views of child rearing and education than the vast majority of parents. A collective of two well-educated and properly functioning parents combined with hundreds of dip-shits will not produce a decent education.

That is what you are not hearing:
In the home/independent education model thise two parents wouldn’t be there. Parents choose.
You are stuck in the traditional school model which is toxic and stulified. A model that encourages the parent behaviors you describe. A model that unleashes the bizarre teacher behaviors that we can all witness every day on social media and in person. A model that protects the system and the teachers and also concurrently abuses them.
It is an system that cannot change. It only can be left.
As thoughtful people leave what will be left is the debris that can turn into the old model from the past known as Training Schools. These were places that socialized and trained youngsters from difficult backgrounds or with difficult behaviors to function in society. They were mostly boarding facilities.
This is the direction we are heading.
