WASHINGTON, Oct 13 (Reuters) - A federal judge on Wednesday held top officials at the Washington, D.C., Department of Corrections in civil contempt, after ruling they violated the civil rights of a U.S. Capitol riot defendant by impeding his access to medical care. "It is more than just inept and bureaucratic shuffling of papers," U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said. "I find that the civil rights of the defendant have been abridged. I don't know if it's because he is a Jan. 6 defendant or not, but I find that this matter should be referred to the attorney general of the United States ... for a civil rights investigation."

This is going to spiral. When these prisoners get together and file a collective lawsuit against these monsters, with the testimony, drip...drip...drip....they’ll be seeing prison themselves. How long until a congressional investigation?

I really hope so. I was looking to see Ryan Samsel’s name in this but it’s somebody else.
Samsel’s story should land a lot of people in jail. IIRC, there was even a judge’s order that was defied in order to stiff him by denying medical care.
It’s interesting to note that Judge Lamberth basically said this was beyond accident or incompetence.
Don’t for Sheriff Joe’s pink underwear for them. That’d be one perk from home for this bunch.
Lamberth has been inconsistent, but he’s right on this one.
