Well, I’m not into ‘religionists’ who think they have a direct line to God.
You shouldn’t be either.
There is a difference btwn someone who makes themselves subject to a supreme standards for belief and practice, using common means of interpretation (unlike atheists typically example) versus one who uses the Bible in order to support whatever elite esoterical gurus think experiences, or claims. See post above.
And you can save the typical skeptic arguments about Christians disagreeing with each other about the Bible, as aside the liberals for whom the Bible is an elastic mud puddle, and cults who follow a supreme human leader or body as their real authority, and those who are quite ignorant of Scripture, those who do hold to Scripture as their sure supreme standard and its own hermetical principles, have long attested to being the the most unified large religious group (at least in the West) in key basic values and fundamental beliefs.
The major disagreement among the learned of such is btwn the tribes of Calvinism and Arminianism, and typically related positions, yet both can believe the same essential gospel. And in parachurch Christian ministries, such often work side by side in that interest.
OH... OK...
