Civil suits for conspiracy against rights are a better way to go anyway. Discovery and all that... and you can bring it all in a friendly venue.
We know that this will happen, barring some legal aspect that limits Bidon’s ability to issue a pardon.
I think Joe might go whole hog and issue sweeping pardons for anyone he has ever met. Including Corn Pop.
And this might be good, because courts would really have to step up and issue a ruling about pre-emptive pardons for people who have not been accused of a crime. Yes, the president has sweeping powers to pardon — but what does that really mean? I’m thinking of the Second Amendment (”shall not be infringed”) and the courts that have decided that it’s OK to infringe in about a million ways. So, the president has sweeping powers to pardon? Maybe the courts would like to infringe on that in about a million ways.
Biden is expected to issue more pardons before leaving office on Monday
I am expecting “first minute pardons” of all, 100%, of those prosecuted by the DOJ and the Capitol for J6 activities. All, no “case by case”. That is what these political prisoners deserve. And they also deserve remuneration for the massive damage done to their lives.
The bad last minute pardons by Biden make the first minute pardons by Trump even easier.
If Cheney is pardoned for destroying evidence and denying J6 due process rights, wouldn’t that alone justify releasing all J6 prisoners regardless of any government accusations of “violence”?
The J6 political prisoners have already paid a price, they need to be released.
The ink likely dried quite a while ago...
Many in DC will find they really weren’t on the team, just useful idiots.
Yeah, I want my Uncle Bob pardoned. He was temporarily insane and robbed 15 liquor stores over a 4 month period and I sent Biden a Walmart gift card for $100 for the pardon.
I think Biden’s last atrocity will not be a pardon but his resignation, making idiot Harris the First Woman President for a few hours - just to throw a wrench and flip off America one last time.
Of course he will.
I’m just grateful he didn’t start a nuclear war.
Yet.
These so called preemptive pardons are not enforceable since no underlying conviction is there to be pardoned from. They are, however, an admission of guilt.
