Sounds like a lot of them are trust fund babies who inherited houses and probably a lot more. Don’t know how hard they had to work for that. Limosine libs.
She worked hard. She had a great job. Her parents were poor.
She was house wealthy and cash poor.
Lesson learned. A house is not an investment. If she put all her money into stocks and rented an apartment, she would be worth 20 million. Not holding a 2 million dollar patch of land.
The sad thing, time goes by, and now being older, much harder to get a job and make money. Many of these people, this fire is a catastrophe. Their homes were all they had. Many had business in the area, now burned to the ground. Many of them hard working people.
