Sounds like you have it under control.

Ambien weird side effects was something I heard about at least two decades ago.

I am actually surprised it is still on the market.

Regarding Benadryl, I guess people didn't read / didn't care about what I wrote earlier:

"Additionally, trazodone does not have significant anti-cholinergic effects so concerns about later dementia (as is the case with first-generation antihistamines like diphenhydramine) are considerably lessened"

I use about a quarter of that many nights. It does work. No side effects as you’ve said.

Getting a good night’s sleep is one of my highest priorities. I strive for at least 8/10 every night. I get that around 6 nights a week. There’s usually one night when it’s only a 6 or 7.

I tried that too, but it got my mind into hyperactive mode, and I wound-up taking a pill, anyway. I’ve tried exercising in the afternoons on long walks w/ my LadyFriend, a glass or two of vino, large meals etc... I’ll keep looking for a way. Thanks for your advice.

Narcolepsy maybe?

I’ve recently learned that my nephew had a problem a few weeks ago while driving. He feel asleep or passed out (during the day). No drugs or alcohol in his system when he veered off the road. Single car accident, nobody was hurt. He doesn’t remember anything except when he awoke and ambulance arrived soon after.

I think he may have narcolepsy that hasn’t been diagnosed yet.

Guardian angels surround us. I believe that with my whole heart, totally and completely. I don’t know what I’d do without mine. I’m sure I keep them busy.

I remember two dreams in my life. Maybe it’s for the best.

Most of the time, my dreams are just creative. Sometimes they’re funny, or weird, like a weird movie, that doesn’t make much sense. Sometimes I solve a really interesting problem that I never knew existed.

Mostly, they just tell an off-beat story.

Yes. I also recall something posted here a few weeks ago that was pretty scary about Benadryl.

I have terrible bouts of insomnia. I discovered YouTube sleep videos that put me to sleep. The best for me is this one: https://youtu.be/fThAOrUjtaE?si=To9l3o8mgFAvF310

Try reading Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche at bedtime. That knocked me out pretty quickly.

I like ASMR too, for relaxing in the evening.

Love the role-play at Moonlight Cottage and Coromo Sara or ASMRCrinkle for ‘tingles.’ ;)

YMMV, but Happy, Healthy Sleep, either way. ;)
