This from the politicizing champions of the world.
They will find a way to steer the narrative to blaming Trump.
BET ON IT.

WASHINTON, Oct. 29 (News Bureau) – President Ford declared flatly today that he would veto any bill calling for “a federal bail-out of New York City” and instead proposed legislation that would make it easier for the city to go into bankruptcy...
Nope.
No federal money until California restores basic Civil rights. Free and Fair elections. Voter ID, Signature Verification, Databases to prevent multiple votes, and Illegal Aliens excluded. They don’t want to do this, no money
This is in another category from earthquakes and hurricanes. It is political, preventable, and attached to budget items that are already being run by that state govt.
And if they get Fed funds, they will misspend that money and learn nothing from the experience.
So the Fed response must be that of parents who have stupid adult children. You’re on your own.
“House Democratic leaders — especially the Californians whose districts are affected by the fires — called Johnson’s suggestion “outrageous.””
Of course. It’s always outrageous to suggest that there be fiscal consequences for a lack of common sense in spending... and to recommend inflicting rules, regulations and restrictions on that spending. Ironic, since the radical left are usually so ‘fond’ of regulations and restrictions and red tape.
Karen Bass probably did her constituents a favor by being gone.
The entire state of California is controlled by Democrats top to bottom and yet the WaPo finds a way to make the delays and screw ups about those evil Republicans.
Probably some money for disaster relief would be appropriate along the lines of Florida and North Carolina:
1. toxic material search and removal $30/residential property
2. asbestos inspections $30/property with residence or larger structure when required by federal law
3. firefighter overtime at $40/hour
4. general aid to one former resident at $750/residential property occupied under written lease at time of evacuation order
5. debris removal pickup money as per historic precedent
All subject to FEMA review and approval.
California Democrats — especially those representing the areas decimated by the wildfires — bashed Johnson for politicizing the disaster.
There are consequences for voting Prog Socialist/Marxist Democrat.
Sometimes your children must endure your choices.
Your children may consider that when they supervise your elder care.
Everyone stand back. Badass Mike Johnson is talking.
“wildfire recovery”
The first step probably is to shut off utilities to burned properties.
The second is to remove downed power lines.
The next probably is searching the burnt properties to remove dangerous non-asbestos toxic items like propane tanks, oil in cans, paint cans, Ni-Cd batteries, etc.
Here in Florida, we got:
1. food handouts
2. water handouts
3. tarp handouts
4. debris pickup
The first two would not be necessary since 98% of the stores in LA are probably still operating.
A few people might need tarps. They can be ordered by the homeowner from Amazon.
Here in Florida, we had a lot of fly-tipping along the service road near me and US41.
In California, debris is probably best picked up from where it lies instead of being hauled to the curb.
Sorry, Faith. In spite of the pose, you're not cute.
