Jeff Bezos’s Amazon is the latest mega company to claim it is scaling back some of its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives after such programs began garnering backlash for being ineffective and “woke.”
In a December memo to employees obtained by Bloomberg, Amazon senior human resources executive Candi Castleberry said the company was “winding down outdated programs and materials,” and that the consolidation and end of certain programs was on track to be completed by the end of that month.
Castleberry’s previous title, vice president of global DEI, was changed in 2023 to vice president of Inclusive eXperiences and Technology, the outlet noted.
“Rather than have individual groups build programs, we are focusing on programs with proven outcomes — and we also aim to foster a more truly inclusive culture,” the HR executive added.
While the specific programs that were ended were not listed by Bloomberg, the outlet reported that they included DEI programs.
A memo obtained by Fox Business stated that Amazon executives had been “evaluat[ing] their effectiveness” for the last few years.
“We worked to unify employee groups together under one umbrella, and build programs that are open to all,” the memo states. “Rather than have individual groups build programs, we are focusing on programs with proven outcomes – and we also aim to foster a more truly inclusive culture.”
Amazon also recently “scrubbed” webpages titled “Equity for Black people” and “LGBTQ+ rights” from its “Our Positions” section on its website, the outlet reported.
The company pledged $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fund last month, Breitbart News reported.

OK. How does that work, exactly?
They’ll never say that. Their actions speak for themselves.
They will start hiring heterosexual males and females who actually show up for the job and do the work. After all a business is about making money not being a social program.
And if I were to post that on the Democrat Underground, that post would be attacked and I could receive death threats.
And Asians, who magically don’t count for those programs.

You can’t fix stupid.
They are worthless employees that have one skill and that is propagating the DEI agenda into companies to the detriment of all else.
They have a major chip on the shoulder, entitlement mentality and they have literally earned college degrees on how to game the system of laws and regulations to become unfirable mini tyrants who are a law unto themselves.
Case in point is LAFD’s Head Kirsten Crowley. It's obvious that she has spent any spare time not spent ramming the DEI woke agenda down the throats of LA fire department building up portfolio of documents that she can use as evidence for black mail of her superiors and as evidence for her inevitable wrongful. termination lawsuit against the LAFD.
It's really fun to watch her work on this one.
No way she was ever going to get fired for her incompetence and negligence that contributed to major parts of LA burning to the ground.
But in typical DEI fashion, she immediately went to the press to blame Mayor Bass (who deserves the blame) for the disaster to make herself an unfireable sacred cow. So Bass tried to fire her not for her role burning down LA ( for which she richly deserves to be fired) but for the unforgivable sin of blowing the whistle on Mayor Bass.
But Chief Crowley knows how to use DEI to game the system so Mayor Bass was forced to reverse herself.
This wild fire started because of LA mismanagement and negligent lack of prevention and now that fires have started started they cannot put the fires out because of their epic incompetence and lack of preparation to fight the fires that they failed to prevent.
All the while, LA continues to burn to the ground because the people in charge have screwed up so badly in the past to set the city up for maximum damage when the inevitable massive fire occurs as a direct consequence of their negligence and mismanagement. When Rome burned , Nero fiddled.
These days , while LA is burning out of control, the leadership covers thier asses and plays DEI employment law games tom protect themselves from the consequences of their incompetence and bad decision making.
Because that is the skill set that they teach in DEI programs.
I worked with a lot of gay guys in graphics departments in the city and I certainly didn’t hold their views and got physically ill at some overheard stories...but they were extremely punctual and conscientious workers..
That doesn’t mean I wanted to hang out with them. They lead VERY different lives outside of work...it’s not like the movies or TV shows.
They’re not “like us, just gay”.
But I can’t lie about their work ethic.
It’s the old saw: the exception that proves the rule.
Hopefully they clean up customer service too.
I can never understand a darn word they say.
I don’t want to know about their sex life.
For some reason gays can’t shut up about it.
Grab a Snickers. It’s going to be awhile.
White men are among the few groups which can be systematically discriminated against for their natural characteristics.
I have seen racists in all ethnic groups. Racism is not some inherent white-man quality for which he is uniquely deserving of reverse racism. The DIE programs are little more than aggrieved groups using institutional power to discriminate against others.
