Gavin Newsom appears on the verge of tears as he is confronted over Trump's claims he caused LA fires

Gavin Newsom became emotional when asked about Donald Trump placing the blame on the California governor for the disastrous, killer wildfires that have ravaged the state.

Trump said that the governor, who he referred to as 'Gavin Newscum,' a favorite of the Republican's pet names, was at fault for the disaster.

The president-elect lambasted Newsom in a Truth Social post Wednesday for focusing on environmental priorities like 'worthless fish' over those of Golden State residents.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper amid the fires in Los Angeles Wednesday, Newsom was visibly hurt by the criticism.

'People are literally fleeing. People have lost their lives. Kids lost their schools, families completely torn asunder, churches burned down, he said.'

Newsom avoided going further in on Trump: 'I have a lot of thoughts and I know what I want to say... I won't.'

He then raged at Trump for trying to 'politicize' the disaster, while contrasting him with Joe Biden.

'I stood next to a President of the United States of America today, and I was proud to be with Joe Biden. And he had the backs of every single person in this community. He didn't play politics, didn't try to divide any of us.'

It followed Newsom's press office slamming Trump for claiming he could demand water flow into California at any time and isn't doing so on purpose.

'There is no such document as the water restoration declaration – that is pure fiction,' a spokesperson for Newsom wrote.

'The Governor is focused on protecting people, not playing politics, and making sure firefighters have all the resources they need.'

Newsom should start to avoid public appearances

But Newsome was so concerned with “Global Warming” and other ridiculous legislation that he NEGLECTED protecting the citizens of California.

That's what democrats and other Deep State Globalists do.

Newsome did to the state of California what Biden, Obama and other presidents have done to America for the last 65 years or more.

They ignore the jobs they were elected to do.

Then they misappropriate taxpayer money collected under the pretense of financing Constitutional government activities
and spend it on pie-in-the-sky leftist fantasies, one-world policies and globalist expansion.

The people should have recalled Newsom when they had the chance.

Still have to move out of the Naval Observatory on 1/20. Maybe they can find you some other government housing (like a FEMA trailer).

In my entire life, I never would have expected such a beautiful state as Ca to be utterly destroyed from the ground up, to a point where any kind of comeback or saving it is impossible.

But, Newsome has done it. Proudly.

California was a jewel of our country and now it is gone forever. And her citizens keep voting for the bullets that are killing them.

Probably doesn’t have as much pain for him as this alleged rumor:

The thing is that Trump warned him about exactly all of this — IN 2019!!

If pretty Ms. Newsom had taken Trump’s advice about even ONE of these things, the situation probably wouldn’t be as dire as it is now.

Good point. Not the tiniest bit of consideration for NC, SC, TN, or Palestine, OH.

I’m glad PDJT is making it clear that Newsom values the lives of sardines over constituents.

That needs to be “out there” pretty much 24/7 so everyone is aware where the Democrats stand.

Gretchen Whitmer and Josh Shapiro have had a rival for the 2028 Democratic Presidential nomination eliminated due to the gross incompetence of Gavin Newsom and the leftist regime in California. Michigan and Pennsylvania are not prone to earthquakes and enjoy plentiful rainfall. Most of the land is privately owned so brush buildup is not the problem it is in California, where much land is public and private land is micromanaged.

Imagine if they had taken the billions on the train to nowhere and instead spent it on desalination plants.

At $20 million each the coastline of CA would have more than one hundred of them.

Problem: CA has some environmental regulations making it a lot harder and more expensive to build and operate them.

Thank you!

I’m so sick and tired of the JFK myth - getting assassinated doesn’t automatically make you a saint. And while I’m at it, Clinton was a shit POTUS too. He only won because Perot’s third party ran to the right of Bush and siphoned 20 million votes off him - then Clinton got credit for the dot.com revolution and a Reagan peace dividend growth economy that he inherited.

Being a fake news journalist or political pundit has always been a favorite career path for far Left losers, which has resulted in 95% of journalists and pundits being f-ing liars who praise any Democrat and demonize any Republican - it’s as simple as that.

This! They could look at what Israel has done, they water all their people and the crops with desalinized water; oh wait, never mind.
Honestly, he could have encouraged the squatters to pick up deaf brush for their fires, as well as allowed residents to collect dead, fallen wood from the forest and roadsides . That was the issue in Paradise, IIRC, the illegality of cleaning up brush and deadwood led to inferno. In New England, the natives burned much of the undergrowth annually for hunting purposes, it burned fast, so did not get hold of the standing timber. Now if we had a lighting strike, or arson, vast areas would be ablaze in a summer like we just had. Nothing compare to CA volume wise. My sis is now 5 miles from the blaze.

No, not people but Angelenos who were living in a wildfire zone. There need be no sympathy for Angelenos. They are a cancer on America
