Gavin Newsom appears on the verge of tears as he is confronted over Trump's claims he caused LA fires

Gavin Newsom became emotional when asked about Donald Trump placing the blame on the California governor for the disastrous, killer wildfires that have ravaged the state.

Trump said that the governor, who he referred to as 'Gavin Newscum,' a favorite of the Republican's pet names, was at fault for the disaster.

The president-elect lambasted Newsom in a Truth Social post Wednesday for focusing on environmental priorities like 'worthless fish' over those of Golden State residents.

Speaking to Anderson Cooper amid the fires in Los Angeles Wednesday, Newsom was visibly hurt by the criticism.

'People are literally fleeing. People have lost their lives. Kids lost their schools, families completely torn asunder, churches burned down, he said.'

Newsom avoided going further in on Trump: 'I have a lot of thoughts and I know what I want to say... I won't.'

He then raged at Trump for trying to 'politicize' the disaster, while contrasting him with Joe Biden.

'I stood next to a President of the United States of America today, and I was proud to be with Joe Biden. And he had the backs of every single person in this community. He didn't play politics, didn't try to divide any of us.'

It followed Newsom's press office slamming Trump for claiming he could demand water flow into California at any time and isn't doing so on purpose.

'There is no such document as the water restoration declaration – that is pure fiction,' a spokesperson for Newsom wrote.

'The Governor is focused on protecting people, not playing politics, and making sure firefighters have all the resources they need.'

“This IS mostly the fault of Gavin Newsome.”

Even more to the point, this is the fault of the people who put Newscum there, and that includes most of the people being impacted by the fire.

Not surprising, hold a democrats feet to the fire for their negligence and they start crying about “politicizing” the horrible event their policies created.

Newsom actually made the case for Trump when he said, “People are literally fleeing. People have lost their lives. Kids lost their schools, families completely torn asunder, churches burned down”. Well, who did this Gavin and why shouldn’t Trump politicize it?

So holy and righteous! Both Newsom and Biden! Look what they've done for you, California!

Newsom and LA Mayor Bass are toast, politically speaking. They are going to take the fall for this and rightly so. Also add in the lesbian LAFD Chief.

GTFOOH! Still toeing the party line. Biden didn't know where he was, what day it was, and was asking when the barbecue would be ready.

Lefties claim, they want to save the planet. The problem is, their climate agenda, just, put more pollutants, in the air, because of, said agenda, than if they would have cleaned out the undergrowth, etc.

His tears are for his beloved smelt. It takes a real man to stand up for a defenseless little fish and it’s offspring. He’s the man who won the war on smelt without firing a shot. Smelt the world over owe him a debt of gratitude and we should all try to be more like him. /s

Funding Ukrainian fire departments while LA literally burns. If you wrote a script for a movie, this sort of thing would appear hokie.

It should not have been hard to form a breeding program for smelt in a few safe areas, instead of sacrificing the properties, businesses, communities and homes of thousands, possibly a million when all the fires are added up. But it's what Democrats do. No sense of proportion or even basic math, whatsoever. If .004% of the population is transgender, everyone must have all their fetish crammed down their throats. And God forbid a school of smelt should be transplanted to safety so that humans can avoid being wiped out.
