I watched a movie recently called “After Hours”, a black comedy, and there is a scene where a guy is being pursued around SOHO in the wee hours of the morning by a crowd who thinks he is a thief robbing apartments. Reading this, I was kind of visualizing that.
I’m surprised that the girl was apparently in on it.
At that age, girls (at least in my day) tend to be a little more mature than that.
Egad. Even thinking that makes me wonder if I have been somehow dropped onto a different planet.
And it ain’t a nice one.
Tik Tok encourages these insane stunts, and people do anything, to get views, on their account. Modern version of doing outlandish things, so as to be seen on TV.
I see no facts to support that conclusion. The entire point of "To Catch a Predictor" is to go after pedos.
I bet these kids did just that otherwise what would be the point.
The world seems to have been much nicer when they just crowded into phone booths and swallowed goldfish...
Ain’t that the truth ! Thanks :)
Might be “Sugar Baby” out to make some money.
These kids got off easy. Another person that tried this scam got shot dead at a Burger King.
If you were expecting to meet an adult you are not a "predator". Although some young people today seem to think any sort of age gap is wrong for some reason. Have had some react that way to a difference of under five years where both were adults.
I am not sure what they are being taught but it is getting strange out there.
Read the article. Her profile said she was 18.

Yes. But these dumb butts probably never watched it as it went off the air some sixteen years ago. I doubt if as toddlers they were glued to news shows.
I bet these kids did just that otherwise what would be the point.
Except they didn't.
So what is your point?
Maybe because of who we hang out with? I tend to find myself spending a great deal of time with the under 30 crowd lately.
And the "age gap" that they are worried about is just a few years.
If your information about the man in question being only 22 is correct, and I have no reason to doubt it, this story is a prime example.
He is a "predator" because he is trying to date a (gasp!) teenager, who is a full adult but never mind that.
We don’t even know if the kids knew the man’s age.
But the idea that they could entrap any man over a date with an 18 year old woman, shows how stupid they were.
And now a lot of them are in deep yogurt :-)
And they are in whey over their heads. :)
One of the young men in my young singles group was talking to me about his interest in dating a young women in the group but was worried that he was too young for her. She is 25. He is 21. I told him to ask her out. "But what about the age gap?" I told him my husband is 18 years older than I am. That is age gap. What he was talking about was an age crack. And a tiny one at that.
The need for getting attention/popularity/money on social media is really sick with some people.
These are not “winners” we’re talking about here. Sad.
I was a university professor when I was 26 years old. You cannot imagine the young temptations you get offered. I never gave in to the temptation, but several of my peers married their former students.
The worst was when I taught a course required for seniors to graduate. They were 22 and I was 26. Too much eye candy for a young male.
“What he was talking about was an age crack. And a tiny one at that.”
Funny play on words. 😁
