Just surfing around, reading about each of the Biden admin’s failed ‘last public appearances’. I came across an AP photo I assumed was photoshopped; it shows Michelle Obama writ large - I mean she is more massive than I thought when photographed beside Kamala - both of them are behaving like stupid children for the camera, and both are wearing the same height shoes. Obama is slightly in the foreground, but not enough to explain the size disparity. I think it’s likely that pics usually show Michelle next to other tall people.
Michelle is a little over 5’ 11”; I don’t think I ever realized that. Harris is a little over 5’ 4”. But still, the difference in size gave me pause.
There is a absurd little article in which Kamala said reports that she is only 5’ 2” are ‘misinformation.’ Katie Couric laments that she too is often falsely reported to have less height than she does. And there’s this little ‘gem’.
“Katie mentions that the internet also lists her as shorter than she actually is. Kamala sympathizes, saying, “It’s like literally, they just wanna make us smaller in every way than we are.”
Kamala never had to accept that we didn’t like the refuse that fell out of her mouth when she stood behind a microphone; in the cramped confines of her mind, “....they just wanna make us smaller in every way than we are.”
