Property taxes are too high and the outlandish employment in counties needs to be analyzed. Heck the county my parents live in has a full time arborist. Schools are outrageous also. Full of administrators who push paper and nothing else. Each one of us needs to scrutinize our local government. Like DC they are probably full of folks that have no business being employed.

I’d bet every county and city of all sizes have lots of waste, i.e. people that should not be paid by the county for positions that really can’t be justified or should be done by private sector.

The current "actings" get a 300 day period.

Tulsi & RFK jr could both be appointed acting...the acting period gets reset to 210 days.
Every time there is a nomination, the acting period gets reset to 210 days.
Every time the nomination is pulled(or rejected by senate), the acting period gets reset to 210 days. The reset can happen twice. (There is enough loopholes that there could be more than 2 acting periods - sickness seems to be a loophole for one)

Thinking outside the box, and working the reset, Tulsi & RFKjr could serve for as long as Pres. Trump wants them to serve up to 410 days (two 210 day periods)

Legal right to protect Greenland, then any response to defend our territory is not considered an act of war. It makes it easier to help our Allies. Also, like as not, Russia and China have been making plans to invade Greenland. I have been hearing they are trying to buy up land around harbors in several countries or eyeing what they can take by force.

So Trump is not crazy. Not being an egotistical dictator. He is trying to strengthen the U.S. and working to provide some checks and balances that strengthen our ability to help Allies and prevent another world war. A lot of countries are getting we are the lesser of the two evils. Media not so much, they have grown allergic to fact-checking, and understanding any complex issue and just become about stirring drama rather than reporting facts, all of the facts.

If this happened in Washington (state), there would be parts of King, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston counties that would go for seceding (namely Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett and Olympia - although that would probably fracture the city of Tacoma and possibly Everett due to large military presence nearby). Military bases would remain Property of the US Govt., so Joint Base Lewis-McChord (Pierce county), Everett Naval Station (Snohomish county), as well as Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton and the Bangor Sub base.

Eastern WA would probably split off and remain as part of the US, as would most of the rest of the state (as well as the federal forest lands).

Sadly, I could see the new Governer - Turd... uh, Bob Ferguson choosing this path. That’s exactly why I sold the rental property in MD that I inherited from my parents. Property taxes. Right now I’m in between jobs. I would have gotten a $5k property tax bill this month from MD. I would have held the property for YEARS to make the money I did by selling it to the renter, an elderly black woman and her family who rented it for almost 30 years.

Retired people shouldn’t have to pay property taxes. Period.

In addition to property taxes skyrocketing here (forcing many retirees out because they can't afford the increase on the condo they bought back in 1995), insurance has doubled in the past four years so my HOA has skyrocketed. My place is paid off, but if I add my HOA + property tax together, I couldn't make enough renting it out to move to another place. It's really ridiculous. I guess these "Wyoming LLC" guys know something I don't.
