Elon Musk Endorses Post Suggesting Americans Are Too ‘Retarded’ To Do Skilled Jobs

Billionaire Trump surrogate Elon Musk endorsed a post on Thursday which suggested Americans were too “retarded” to be hired for skilled jobs.

After the South Africa-born CEO of X, SpaceX, and Tesla found himself embroiled in an argument over H-1B visas and the importation of foreign labor over American workers, a pro-Musk account wrote:

So basically the right split into two factions, tech right and right right, and the tech right is like “hey we need h-1b visa people to do the jobs,” and the right right was like “no you need to hire americans,” and the tech right is like “but you guys are retarded,” and the right right is like “well you don’t train us,” and the tech right is like “you can’t outtrain being retarded,” and while all this was going on we learned some people *really* don’t like Indians.

“That pretty much sums it up,” replied Musk, mere hours after defending one of his engineers who posted a series of racist, anti-White rants. “This was eye-opening.”

That pretty much sums it up.

This was eye-opening.

On Thursday, Musks’s DOGE co-head Vivek Ramaswamy also received backlash after he suggested companies were not hiring Americans because they were raised in a culture of “mediocrity.”

President-elect Donald Trump announced last month that Musk and Ramaswamy would lead the newly-created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – an announcement praised by many of Trump’s allies and supporters.

In the wake of remarks made by both Musk and Ramaswamy this week, however, many Trump supporters have begun to express concern over their involvement in the second Trump administration.

I got let go early December from a large publically traded American company headed by an Indian CEO. Software I authored for them as an employee builds all their other software. Seems like they kept all the folks in India who now use the cicd automation tools I wrote. Most of the H1Bs still have their jobs.

My personal experience over 30 years writing code is this happens all the time.

Elon is wrong and bigly.

Further the universities take foriegn students because they can charge the maximum for tuition and each foriegn student denies an American student. These nations like China send their students into Engineering, Computer Science and Math. This has really messed up our engineering pipeline. This is at state schools that American tax payers have paid for a very long time.

America first means Americans come first in America Elon and Vivek need to get the message or I'm calling presdident Trump

When I moved into my North Fort Worth neighborhood 13 years ago African American, White, non-Hispanic, and a few Hispanics lived there. Fast forward 13 years and now it is about 40 percent Indian/ Pakistan families to 30 percent White, non-Hispanic, families and a few Hispanic and African American families. There are at least 3 generations here from each Indian family. Unfortunately, none of them seem to know how to do yard work.,

Not really retarded just deeply trained/programed to appear that way by a centralized education system.

If anyone was paying attention during the Republican primaries, they would have heard Vivek say he wanted to increase visas for people from India. That turned me off completely from Vivek.

Our country needs less billionaires and Dem politicians telling us how to live.

Reform schools and universities to teach math and science .
Grow our own programmers and scientists.
Import fewer curry consumers and fewer mainland Chinese.

Once a company gets a CEO that is Indian, suddenly much of the workforce becomes Indian...I do believe there’s some supremacy floating around that goes unsaid.
This is what happened/is happening at the place I got laid off from - stock is through the roof. Americans get laid off and H1Bs stay, work moves offshore or to India - I got let go by two non Americans on the main dude Indian.
I went from getting stock as incentive to stay because I was a valuable employee under American CEO to position eliminated because of reorganization under Indian CEO.
I've been around engineers my whole life I've ceased being impressed with the lot of them a while ago - Indian engineers and tech biz types even less impressed.
How many of these Indian immigrants encourage their kids to join the military?
Bunch of nepotistic charlatans.

So don’t tell the talent doesn’t exist in this country. These kids are out there, U.S. companies don’t want them they want slaves.

++++++++++

I work for a worldwide company that designs and manufactures heavy industrial equipment. Almost all of the engineering design was based in the US for many decades. I have noticed your statement above to be true. We are trying to groom engineers in India instead of hiring engineers here in the US. I don’t think it is a shortage of engineering talent in the US (but I could be wrong). I think it is because we are going for cheap labor.

You threw me off with that zinger out of left field.

I see your Sririam Krishnan, and raise you a Steven Cheung.

In all fairness, my grandfather referred to me in my primary youth as "pumpkin head".

Never said they were.

However, you said “Engineering schools are not “colleges,” (which are also filled with dumb jocks and legacies.)”
which is difficult to interpret.

There are very few Engineering only schools - Harvey Mudd College comes to mind. Almost all are part of a big ‘U’ usually a big ‘state U”. “Big State U” does have its jocks, etc. occasionally they wander into the engineering programs and even more occasionally they graduate.

My youngest is 10+ years out of a state university engineering school and is pulling mid-six figures in programming at one of the largest financial services information firms in the world. His colleagues are of varying nationalities but over half are Americans.
