Have fun and flame away, and a Happy New Year!
It’s ugly and there was no actual humor, it didn’t work.
OK, that was funny :-)
Ho, Ho, Ho!
This is typical of SNL humor. They set things up and then try to throw you for a loop and then try to throw you for a loop a few more times. I enjoyed this bit.
I love their ending to It’s A Wonderful Life where Potter gets his just rewards.
The only humor in it is the unanticipated reversal, the helped down-on-his-luck street bum is still a thieving violent reprobate etc.
And of course, it has to attack Fox News.
Where are the likes of Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, and all the other truly funny comedians and sketches when SNL used to be, you know, actually funny?
We need a MSGA movement (make SNL great again).
That is HILARIOUS! I sure didn’t expect that. Very clever. I especially like the Fox News bit at the end.
That skit was darned funny!
Well, I’m going to pat myself on the back a little.
I’m an electrical engineer so I know a bit about what the linemen do to keep our lights on. About a week ago I was having lunch at far-out-of-the-way Harkers Island, NC.
Three linemen from the local electrical co-op walked in and sat down for lunch. I was done before they were. So when I went to the counter to pay my bill I picked up theirs as well. They probably would not have let me do that so I sneaked out the door without saying a word. I told the waitress to wish them Merry Christmas for me.
An out-of-the-blue anonymous gift to some of our hardworking men is my kind of Christmas gift. Felt good!
That was actually worth watching. In fact I’m amazed that SNL did that. I guess even the hardcore wealthy libs in New York were affected by the Daniel Penny story.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, DallasBiff, media maven!
