He can find a way....

Nigel actually made his party a COMPANY (an LLC)

Some say that was interesting and unusual...

Musk could buy shares/stock.... Same deal as his lottery thing he used an LLC for that even though he called it ‘America PAC’

Now we need some Freeper accountant / CPA to tell us if it’s legal !

If it collapses into chaos the King would be within his authority to dismiss it and allow for new elections.

It would have to be extraordinary for that to happen as the monarch has largely remained out of direct political acts for a long time, but it could still happen. Last time was in Australia in the 70s.

Usually they’d just call an election before involving the monarch

Lets face it Starmer is a one-termer if he makes that far. They might decide to kick him out earlier than expected

Even with the huge majority it doesn’t mean anything IMO

The natives will get restless

Politics is fluid

Dont forget their Leftist tax hikes go into effect in the next budget (April 2025) and that will hurt the economy.

Biz groups already saying they’re planning layoffs. What a disaster.

Same old playbook the world over

Would Labor follow the law and go along with such a Royal decree? I think we know the answer to that!

Even if it's legal, Starmer will make it illegal. Remember he was a prosecutor.

You can’t stop someone buying stock

The judges in the US (Democrat ones) couldn’t even rule against Musk’s lottery idea in PA..

I think he could the same thing and get round the laws somehow

Supposedly ideologically Starmer is a Maoist. Normally they are not a type to back off, say maybe I’m wrong and let cooler heads prevail.

After the triumph of Trump 47, he’s relishing in the spotlight of the “King Maker.”

It shouldn’t be too much longer before people realize he’s not the conservative ideologue they’ve made him out to be.

But the Parliament has a fixed term of five years

No longer. The Fixed Term Parliament Act was repealed in 2022.

Yes I knew that and I’m glad.

What I meant to say, speaking to people who don’t understand the system, was that Starmer being unpopular won’t necessarily lead to a dissolution with such a huge majority and that therefore the voters will probably not be involved until the Summer of 2029, unless the events in the play/film King Charles III come to life.

In real life, it’s more probable that Tim Piggott would dissolve Parliament than Charles Windsor.

Quite. Starmer's 'unpopularity' may in any case be transient. He hasn't done anything much yet to justify his being either popular or unpopular. The unpopularity is driven partly by an almost universally hostile British media, and by the standard reaction to a new government inheriting a mess bequeathed by its predecessor, when that mess doesn't immediately and magically disappear.
