Yes I knew that and I’m glad.

What I meant to say, speaking to people who don’t understand the system, was that Starmer being unpopular won’t necessarily lead to a dissolution with such a huge majority and that therefore the voters will probably not be involved until the Summer of 2029, unless the events in the play/film King Charles III come to life.

In real life, it’s more probable that Tim Piggott would dissolve Parliament than Charles Windsor.

Quite. Starmer's 'unpopularity' may in any case be transient. He hasn't done anything much yet to justify his being either popular or unpopular. The unpopularity is driven partly by an almost universally hostile British media, and by the standard reaction to a new government inheriting a mess bequeathed by its predecessor, when that mess doesn't immediately and magically disappear.
