I had to think about it a bit which means that you asked the best kind of question. On one hand I too deplore the sexualization of society to the point that even innocent interactions between men and women are pitfalls for both. I know you see it from the men's side (naturally) but for women it has also reached the point where what was once polite and friendly is seen as an invitation to hop into bed. And that leads to, at best, a very awkward conversation or, at worse, to something much more unpleasant.
However that is between adults. And adults should be able to take care of themselves.
Children and adult interactions are even more complicated. Especially if the adult has power over the child. Even if the adult has no evil intent children develop "crushes" that are generally short lived but very intense and very real while they are in the throes. And that can lead to them behaving in ways that are unwise. And can get the adult in some very hot water.
And if the adult does have evil intent it can get much worse.
So, professionalism.
To protect both sides.
