Sources within the police community told the New York Post that the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s killer traveled to NYC on a Greyhound bus from Atlanta last month.
The bus on which the killer is believed to have traveled originated in Atlanta, however, authorities are not certain as whether the killer boarded the bus there or climbed aboard at a stop along the way.
Breitbart News reported 50-year-old Thompson was shot and killed outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan just after 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
A manhunt for the killer was immediately launched and today marks the third day of the hunt.
On Thursday the NYPD released surveillance images showing the suspected killer without a mask:

RE: The killer had a fraudulent NJ ID.
Old one said his occupation was “professional hit man.”
New one and passport say he works for “Universal Exports.”

Is there a thread somewhere about the killer leaving New York?
Today on CNN website:
Detectives investigating the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s chief executive have a “reason to believe” the person responsible for the shooting has left New York City, according to police commissioner Jessica Tisch.
Police have obtained video of the suspect entering the Port Authority Bus Station – but not exiting it, indicating he left town.
Authorities believe the suspect may have left New York City on an interstate bus.

I'm guessing 9 am, when the business day begins; it would be unusual for a shareholder meeting to take place outside of normal business hours.
How did the killer know when the victim was going to arrive at the hotel?
There's no evidence that he did know, as he was seen waiting for several hours before the target showed up.
How did the killer know which entrance the victim would use when they entered the hotel?
Show me that he was shot headed to any other door except the main entrance and I will concede that it could be evidence that the shooter had inside information.
Which means that the Port Authority PD has been reviewing the surveillance cameras at the bus gates to see what bus he boarded.
I don’t know if you have seen it, but Ian McCollum of “Forgotten Weapons” fame has a short video out, saying that he has fired both Welrods and the modern derivative. He says he is 100% certain the firearm in the video is neither one — just a 9mm semi-auto with a suppressor.
Deliberate misdirection and clumsy/strange execution could both be included here, by accident or design. This case will probably turn out to be simpler than it seems, but for now presents a knot of possibilities to ponder.
They’re using AI to capture walking characteristics and other clues. I imagine they have generated a complete facial image from the partial images of his face. If he is going through bus stations, the surveillance images are adding up for more detail. AI should be able to trigger an alert whenever his image is captured by surveillance. Getting him on a bus would be ideal.
I believe the killer was tracking CEO Brian Thompson to get a sure fix on his routine to ambush him. Surveillance would get that too.
I’m waiting for the DNA results to narrow down his identity. If his DNA has been put on the database, they should come up with a name and his last address.
I have United Healthcare in Washington. Maybe that’s where his troubles with United started. If they can get him getting off a bus, they can get him getting on. His next stop will be a FBI bust.
The Adjuster took poor people transportation to wax a CEO. The poors are supposed to know their place.
Then you may be thinking what I’m thinking.
“Authorities believe the suspect may have left New York City on an interstate bus.”
