Didn't think there were polar bears in Ontario. Article says "explosion of bear population". I thought they were all gonna die? Wtf?

Polar bears in Canada, snake eating alligators in Florida. I think I will stay where I am.

The only place Ontario would have Polar Bears in the wild is probably on the shores of Hudson Bay or that area. The vast area of northern Ontario is pretty much uninhabited by humans at least.

"Didn't think there were polar bears in Ontario. Article says 'explosion of bear population'. I thought they were all gonna die? Wtf?" Narratives regarding their supposed demise must have fallen from favor.

Yes, I know. I have spent quite a bit of time camping in Northern Quebec, very similar. But you just don’t expect to see polar bears in wooded areas. Not to my knowledge anyway.

The Hudson Bay has lots of polar bears. Its extremely far north. And the bay allows polar bears to naturally hunt for food. Plus the human camps that are there provide great garbage for bears in the winter.

None of that in Jersey. We have tiger shark lawyers and spaghetti politicians.

Obviously someone forgot to tell that to the polar bears. I live in NW Montana. We are experiencing a population explosion of grizzly bears in MT, WY, ID, and soon northern Washington state. Oh Joy!

Can’t believe this guy was outside without a gun. Clearly the neighbor was carrying. You never leave your house without a 45, loaded and ready. Sure you can go outside without seeing a bear 1000 times. But then there is that once. And you have no chance with a polar bear. You can’t out run it. You can’t fight it. This guy only allowed his wife time to get inside. He would not have won if the neighbor was not carrying at that moment.

I’m sure this couple didn’t expect a polar bear either. Sort of like the Spanish Inquisition.

Oh yeah, lots of polar bears in northern Ontario. Major pest problem.
I went on a canoe trip around York Factory and we had to sleep in a cage to protect us from bears. They are totally fearless.
