An aspiring actress was swallowed to death by a giant wave while doing cliffside yoga on her vacation in Thailand, local outlets report.
Shocking footage captured Kamilla Belyatskaya, 24, as the wave swept her away at the island of Koh Samui, overlooking the Gulfside of Thailand, during a meditation session on a pink yoga mat, according to the Khaosad English.
Belyatskaya, a Russian-born tourist vacationing in Thailand with her boyfriend, was unexpectedly struck by the wave Friday afternoon.
The footage showed her struggling against the currents and succumbing to the frothing waters.
A bystander went into the water to attempt to save her but was unsuccessful. His fate is currently unknown, the outlet said.
Earlier Belyatskaya called the famed beauty spot “home” and “the best place on earth,” on her social media.
She had been spotted earlier arriving at the Lad Ko viewpoint in a red car before going out to the rocks, where she retrieved the pink yoga mat, the outlet reported.

Yep.
Where’s King Canute when you need him?
I may stand corrected. Check the video posted by sit-rep.
It’s clear that she, and presumably her boyfriend, had moved down from the safe viewing area out to a point of rocks. From the video, it’s apparent that there was a safe beach in the cove, with waves crashing on the point and a viewing area above the point.
Anyhow, the video seems to show her sitting, then caught by a wave, and then the mat floating in the water. Maybe the mat was tossed back up onto the rocks by another wave.
She had still ignored the safety warnings, and she learned the hard way that danger signs get posted for a reason. It’s like people who slip through the barriers to get closer to the edge of the Grand Canyon.
Catch a wave and you’re sitting on top of the world!
Thanks. I could tell right away from the poor English of the captions that it was an Indian video. The ending confirmed it.
Was she practicing her lines for a remake of “Swept Away”?
i didnt much care who made it. but it shows the “Giant Wave” that swept her away... I call that normal sea wash on a rocky shore...
People claim you can separate the practice from the religion but from what I’ve heard from practioners, is you can’t.
the yoga positions are prayer position indicating to the spirits a receptiveness to being invited in.
Stretching is great and I’m sure that in the past, and maybe even now, I’ve done stretching that is like yoga poses but never hold them and meditate while doing so.
Yes. The stuff that legends are made of.
LOL
Sad. Her beauty was greater than her IQ.
Amen.
How so ?
“ Lucky wave”
The wave had her. Whereas all her instagram simps did not.
If she had been obese, she might still be here.
BS…yoga literally mean “yoked” to the demonic spirits
BS…yoga literally mean “yoked” to the demonic spirits. It’s a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline. To be “yoked”, you have to empty yourself first
I don’t think Yoga is satanic, but some of its practioners likely are. That said...I hate yoga.
I don’t have anything concrete to add but during the 70s I had an in with a Southern California chain of yoga studios and was in a position to utilize everything for free at any of the coastal studios and of course the mostly female customer base, I forget the details, perhaps they wanted me in the business or something since I had met and become friends with the owners and highest mgmt, it was all a very cool thing for me but I was suspicious of yoga and had to learn more about it before participating.
Yoga was very big in California at time and I did a deep look into it to see how it fit in with my being a Christian and while there were many shallow ways to look at it as just an exercise activity, a deeper look always led to the fact that there was more to it, an unchristian spiritual aspect, again, I don’t remember the details but I did decide that there was just no way I could participate although I would have liked to find out that it was as benign as some claim and of course there were many people trying to persuade me of how harmless it was with good arguments, but they wouldn’t hold up to close examination from the Christian perspective.
