President-elect Donald Trump hinted at mass pardons for defendants tied to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot – with his team vowing he would also overhaul the “Democrat-controlled” Department of Justice — a little more than an hour after President Biden pardoned his son Hunter Sunday night.
“Does the Pardon given by Joe to Hunter include the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years? Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The 45th president, who won back the White House last month, floated pardons during his campaign for the more than 1,500 defendants either still facing trials or those already convicted for breaching the Capitol as Congress was voting to certify Biden’s 2020 election win over Trump.
Trump’s transition team earlier sent out a statement that blasted the Justice Department while vowing to fix the federal agency. It made no mention of Biden or his son.
“The failed witch hunts against President Trump have proven that the Democrat-controlled DOJ and other radical prosecutors are guilty of weaponizing the justice system,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement.
“That system of justice must be fixed and due process must be restored for all Americans, which is exactly what President Trump will do as he returns to the White House with an overwhelming mandate from the American people.”
Hunter, 54, is now off the hook after he was scheduled to be sentenced on separate federal gun and tax evasion cases later this month.

These are absolutely known by the conspirators and are NOT in prison or charged. They already weeded them out for us and have only those who deserve to be pardoned already lined up for Trump to justly pardon in mass.
So don’t worry about that, the guilty have already been separated out for Trump. Unfortunately they already let them go free and chasing them down four years later is nearly impossible.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what does transportation have to do with Hunter Biden or the J6 victims?
I just want to be free of having to constantly watch my six to see if I’m being followed by Feds out to arrest me for simply showing up that day.
The J6 crowd stuck their necks out for then President Trump, and were illegally persecuted, kidnapped, and held hostage in vile conditions as a result. For him to do anything less that pardon the lot would be extremely dishonorable. He’d better more than just “hint at it”.
Hunter is a degenerate drug addict. He will burn through whatever money Biden has pilfered through his graft. He will end up dead or in prison in the next few years.
Poor George Clooney -- he makes another public hissy, a half-assed repudiation of his earlier hissy, just in time to get flushed right down the drain by Crooked Joe. Ever wonder if Biden's sold (or is about to sell) everyone down the river who participated in the four years of lawfare?

DITTO! Should be a blanket pardon for every and all non-Fed/ non-Antifa J6 person who was anywhere near the Capitol and within a 100 mile radius of it (as Biden/Harris DO”J” is going after anyone who was within several miles but nowhere near the Capitol).
Trump needs to pardon every J6 hostage on day one.
Interesting thought - testify as to the activities that you can’t be charged with, and if you refuse - unrelated offense — contempt of Congress. Off to jail you go until you decide to talk.
There are too many women on the Supreme Court. I hope that Trump does not appoint any women when he gets his next picks. Two, at most, should be the limit.
