Pete Hegseth Military Education / Experience

Posted on 11/26/2024 9:13:57 AM PST by timza

I have searched using my limited ability to find the military education of Pete Hegseth. I cannot find anything except he attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA. That is very poor reporting. Officers do not attend Basic Training, they attend the Infantry Officers Basic Course. But I digress. What advanced military schooling has he attended? His actual military experience is quite limited. So I am curious of his capability. I like the guy, but I am curious as to how he would respond to the following questions asked off the cuff.

What is CMOC and how is it composed?

What are and explain the three levels of warfare.

What is the difference between mobile and area defense?

What are and explain the US principles of war. How are they applied?

What are the major training commands of each of the military services.

Distinguish between combined operations, joint operations, combined arms operations, and special operations.

What is a Joint Event Life Cycle?

The U. S. Department of Defense (DoD) comprises at least twenty-six agencies, each with specific roles and responsibilities. How does each agency report to the Secretary of Defense? What is the Chain of Command for the numerous DOD agencies? How are their functions synchronized to support the overall DOD mission?

High executive positions are less about knowing specific facts than knowing what matters, how to find essential facts, fashion plans, and then carry them out. As a change agent hired by the President that the American public hired as their change agent, Pete Hegseth knows that the Pentagon needs a thorough house cleaning and shakeup that reemphasizes readiness and war-fighting skills and capabilities.

DIE, liberal, and globalist indoctrination doesn’t make a good SECDEF. We just need some common sense! Please look at all the qualifications we had in the last 20 years and how that worked out for us?

Newsmax had a chart of all the Secretaries of Defense in the past decades. Not ONE of them had been in war/battle. He’s the first.

? Not even close. Newsman is way off the mark.

Chuck Hagel saw combat in Vietnam, Mark Esper saw combat in the Gulf War and Afghanistan, James Mattis saw combat in the Gulf War, Chris Miller saw combat in the Iraq War and Afghanistan.

What constitutes a good job for Miller?

At any rate, they sound like two insiders, familiar with the players in the Pentagon, which is usually not a good thing in DC. Hatred of Trump was largely based on his status as an outsider. In DC, that’s a good thing. Keep it up; give Pete a shot.

Apparently you have zero understanding of Trump’s inner circle. Miller and Watnik are Trump insiders. Its important to know who the players are.

Thanks for your service during a difficult time for our country.

Back then, the Reserves and National Guard were a “strategic” reserve - for when it really got bad. The theory being there would be enough time to train up while the Active Component carried the fight.

That all changed with William Jefferson Billy Jeff BJ Clinton’s “peace dividend” after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Reserves (especially) and the National Guard changed to “operational” reserves - Active Component can’t do much for very long without them. Roughly 80% of the Army’s logistic (Combat Service Support) capacity is in the Army Reserve, and about half its Combat and Combat Support capacity is in the National Guard. Hence the multiple deployments of the Reserve and National Guard units during any major action.

Reserve & Guard service members don’t get any slack when it comes to meeting military fitness, education, and proficiency standards. And the weekend drill/2-week training pay doesn’t match the rent & groceries - they are still working a regular job to pay the bills.

It isn’t necessary to post insults a la liberal trolls. They may be Trump insiders, as are all those loyal to him, but please draw a distinction between them and DC insiders, the swamp dwellers who know how to play the system so as to win no matter the outcome, and to resist outsiders like Trump and his circle from cleaning up.

Will you be offended if I wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving?
