I have searched using my limited ability to find the military education of Pete Hegseth. I cannot find anything except he attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, GA. That is very poor reporting. Officers do not attend Basic Training, they attend the Infantry Officers Basic Course. But I digress. What advanced military schooling has he attended? His actual military experience is quite limited. So I am curious of his capability. I like the guy, but I am curious as to how he would respond to the following questions asked off the cuff.
What is CMOC and how is it composed?
What are and explain the three levels of warfare.
What is the difference between mobile and area defense?
What are and explain the US principles of war. How are they applied?
What are the major training commands of each of the military services.
Distinguish between combined operations, joint operations, combined arms operations, and special operations.
What is a Joint Event Life Cycle?
The U. S. Department of Defense (DoD) comprises at least twenty-six agencies, each with specific roles and responsibilities. How does each agency report to the Secretary of Defense? What is the Chain of Command for the numerous DOD agencies? How are their functions synchronized to support the overall DOD mission?
If he were really loyal to Trump he would withdraw rather than drsg his Commander in Chief through what’s guaranteed to be a confirmation mess.
Give me a break! We have SecDef after SecDef with no apparent clue what our services are supposed to do to be ready for war. We have had dilettantes, blowhards, people in bed the the defense industry, DEI imbeciles and so on.
It’s time for a real leader - with real world experience- to take over.
You head on back to Hillary.
Do you want another beltway suit or someone who has smelled the cordite?
He is intelligent, combat experienced and knows how the military works. He might be considered an outsider by the politicians but that is a good thing.
Officers do not attend Basic Training, they attend the Infantry Officers Basic Course.
All depends how he was commissioned. West Point, ROTC, OCS
Some officers go thru basic and the MOS they choose dictates where they go to basic trainng.
If you enlist in the infantry, you go to Ft Benning. If you choose to pursue a commission, you put in for OCS. When you graduate OCS you choos what branch you want.
If you choose Infantry Officer, AFTER you graduate you go to the Infantry Officer school. Then off to Jump and Ranger school.
If you choose tanks, you go to the Armor Officer School
None of the democraps picks could answer those questions. None.
Who will eat him alive?
All the officers at the Pentagon? The ones who can be relieved of command and tossed out if they don’t follow his orders? They guy who’s giving orders with the full suppprt of the CINC.
A CINC who is a lot wiser to what snakes so many are.
Hell, just ask for an investigation as to why DOD failed another audit, that alone will start cleaning house.
Start off with how command interfered with adopting a Sig pistol over a Glock.
Appoints incompetent buffoons.
To all my new found Free Republic friends. This is not the time to compare with past failures and to justify this course of action. I believe it is possible Hegseth could do just fine. But to reply to some of your responses. I retired as an Army Major. By the way, the rank of Major is quite low on the pecking order. I could answer and implement every question I posed save the numerous DoD agency one. Loyalty to and from another individual has nothing to do with capability. None of the responses about his military service answered my original question. His degree from Princeton, though noteworthy, is not military schooling.
“...a tattoo that has been associated with...”
Make that “a tattoo that leftoids want us to believe is associated with...”
You have to read carefully to expose the bias.
Is it possible women have a problem with him instead? Your post suggests so.
Pete Hegseth is not an inside-the-beltway swampocrat.
That right there is sufficent qualification.
Additionally, I voted for Donald Trump. I didn’t vote for “timza”. President Trump gets the team he wants. “timza” and others bitching about it are assistant democrats.
Give us the resume for Miller.
In the event he’s not available, who are your Plan B’s, and their CV’s?
This photo is incredulous. Lloyd Austin is dressed like he a General of some African country.
Put a dress on him, some dark makeup and the dems would be kissing his butt. He has all the qualities he needs now to do the job. The Pentagon loses wars, pushes WOKE and folks aren’t even signing up to join.
Plus they waste money, get cushy retirement jobs with companies they throw cash too... they left billions of dollars worth of high tech weapons for the Afghans to sell to the Chinese... THAT’S WHAT WE HAVE NOW.
MOST OF US HERE COULD DO BETTER.
Les Aspin? I doubt anyone could be worse.
I tis obvious by your “questions” and your comments that you have zero executive leadership experience.
I am truly incredulous at how incredibly bad Lloyd Austin has been as SecDef. If Biden’t handlers had deliberately set out to select the least competent candidate, they could hardly have done worse.
It's a pretty low bar to beat what we've had in the last 4 years. A major feather in his hat will be that he supports Trump and won't sell him down the river at the drop of a hat. I'm sure there will be loads of testimony from former team mates that know his reactions under fire. Planning for battles and war is done by egg heads anyway.
The way it's going to work under Trump is Trump will make the decision and pass it on to Hegseth and he will say "Yes Sir" and make it happen. Having a base of patriotism and common sense is pretty much the requirements needed by Sec of Defense. Planning will most likely come from CIA, NSC, and other secret organizations. We need to remove more of the secret clearances of the traitors in the last regime. We don't need people that sided with Biden or the enemies of the US. They certainly don't need jobs at CNN and MSNBC. I'm frankly against these people being within throwing distance of sensitive information. Let's let Trump pick his own people. These guys with medals pinned to their chests have probably done less war fighting than Hegseth. Sec of Defense in the past have usually been peacocks that could speak on TV rather than war fighters.
Pete’s CIB trumps all.
