He actually already won his seat in the next congress.. he resigned from the current congress. So he has the option to hold his seat.
But he says he doesn’t want it - I think he has been offered something else in the Trump Administration.

Agreed. Zero interest in him as governor and he’d kill the progress the state party has of an overwhelming majority across voters. Half the democrats I know voted for Desantis. Follow the blueprint and we win in perpetuity.
