One theory for the Democrats’ catastrophic loss
American Thinker ^ | 17 Nov, 2024 | Mark C. Ross

Posted on 11/17/2024 5:19:59 AM PST by MtnClimber

Now that the Democrats’ humiliating electoral defeat has gone into the record books, the remaining processes are beginning to unfold. The driving force for this is not Mr. Trump’s popularity or Harris-Walz’s lack thereof. It is the long overdue awakening of the formerly free-living American public to the accumulated tyranny of the modern mega-state.

Various justifications have been offered for this persecution of the general public. Most conspicuous is the grossly hyperbolic threat of catastrophic “climate change.” In California and at least eleven other states, unelected agency functionaries have issued complete bans on new fossil-fueled motor vehicles, to occur within the conceivable future.

Ignorance of the oscillation between past ice ages and warm periods was assumed to enable the political success of this hoax, but the resulting government-imposed misery was too much for free people to accept. To further provoke this discontent, here in Northern California, there are frost warnings around the outlying Bay Area, and snow-caused mountain road closures, while winter is well over a month away

Hayek hit the nail on the head when he named planners as the primary enemy of freedom. I once heard two urban planners discuss the problem of traffic congestion in urban centers (formerly known as downtowns). Their brilliant solution was to drastically reduce the amount of available parking spaces...thus forcing people to use public transportation. Who really are the fascists in our midst?

Because the LIED about everything.

The economy - we just didn’t understand how good the numbers they concocted were.

Biden - he’s not demented (ha)

Harris - she hadn’t been to the border, or Europe (?)

Lawfare - complete vengeful, malicious persecution of political opponents.

As the ad said “They us They/Them, Trump is for YOU”

I explained to the mayor of the town, that he had a little ceaser in charge of regulation and if he didn’t like the way I managed property, I would sell it to immigrants at a high price and explained to him what it would look like then. He said, “don’t do that.” I haven’t heard from the city since.

This meme got me more death threats and media attention in 24 hours than anything my team has ever put out.

The best part?

It did nearly 20 million cumulative plays the night before the 2024 election.

Not sure why Democrats were so mad?

I agree climate change politics was a big reason for what happened. But to me there is a more basic big-picture reason behind the Democrat behemoth getting routed. For over the years there was one thing i begrudgingly admired about the American left, and it’s that they (for many decades) had a long-term goal and patiently inched ever closer to achieving that goal. They were willing to play the long game in their quest to flip America from a religious & culturally conservative, politically center-right country into a progressive powerhouse.

But human nature is such that as we get close to achieving a long-held dream we can practically taste it and we want it NOW. And so the left became impatient and got greedy. They suddenly pushed much harder and much faster (on not only Climate Change but many other things) until finally Americans started to notice the invisible tide tugging at them, dragging them not only further left but also further away from the shore of common sense and into deeper and more dangerous waters.

Boys in girls’ sports? In girls’ locker rooms? Drag queens reading to children? Sex changes for minors? Illegal aliens welcomed with friendly handshakes by government officials? A former president charged with dubious crimes, called Hitler, nearly assassinated and all because he was pushing back against that tide?

If the left had patiently kept playing the long game i’m not sure anything could have stopped them from eventually achieving their (pipe) dream. But now they’ve blown all that up just when they were both figuratively and literally millimeters away from victory.

If we had gotten LBJ-like majorities in Congress, I would be more comfortable with your conclusion. We didn’t, so seeing it all flip back with vengeance still could happen.

Decades ago, William Proxmire did a small scale version with his Golden Fleece awards.

Main point is while the concept is exciting, nothing will be accomplished without total commitment of Congress to actually pass appropriate legislation.

DOGE has very little power to change anything except some discretionary administrative spending.

I keep asking where’s the plan to work the legislature (Congress) to get appropriate legislation passed? Vivek should take Vance’s place as Ohio senator even temporarily to head the Senate effort get legislation passed.

DOGE so far just looks like a more colorful version of the Grace Commission.

Nah...Biden and Commiela did not choose their VP’S...I believe their loser overlords did...O, Jarrett, with help from Soros.

News reports suggested SC Rep. Clyburn told Biden to pick Harris after he salvaged Biden's primary run. I am not sure who his handler is. I haven't read or heard about how Walz's VP pick came to be. That pick didn't make a lot of sense to me at the time. My guess is none of the more well known democrat politicians wanted to get anywhere near Harris..

“I thought Florida was freer than that. Wow.”

Like anywhere else, there are red counties and blue counties. Tallahassee, the capital, is in the “People’s Republic of Leon County.” I sold everything I owned there and moved to another county where the government overreach, while there, is less so.

They did it here in michiganstan....
The libs had complete control of the governor, house, senate and supreme court.
All they had to do was give us the couple of items they hate, but our so called bush league chamber of commerce worshiping republiCAN’Ts would not do for us, and they would be cemented in power for at least a generation.
Instead, they broke a cardinal rule...

Never..NEVER.. go full communist.
And that is what they did here.
They lost control of at least the house.
2 years from now, the governor and the rest of the senate will become ours.

Never go full communist

DOGE needs to start off big:
END the department of Education. End FEMA. Give employees 'packages' and encourage them to move out of Washington.
All 'non profits' that aid with 'assisting illegals' need to lose their tax exempt status.

And don't get caught up in the minutia of cutting. Cut big.

That’s true. I didn’t mean to imply that the Democrats are now totally defeated. Looking at this as analogous to war, they were charging hard/recklessly to finally achieve a complete victory but instead find themselves routed and having to regroup. But at least we averted disaster and live to fight another day. That is how i see the election and was what i meant to convey.

For it had gone the other way though, if Democrats had won, the ‘war’ would effectively have been over. The right would have been reduced to trying to win minor skirmishes around the periphery. The left for their part would be in mop-up mode against a mostly defeated enemy. But the reverse is not true for our side. The behemoth has stumbled badly but it would be suicidal to underestimate them. Not to mention that Republicans are masters at pulling defeat from the jaws of victory (though under Trump we now are getting a new breed of Republican leaders, so hopefully that’ll change).

The Importance of The Next FBI Director

November 16, 2024 | Sundance

Many people are discussing who President Trump will appoint to two positions:

(1) Director of the National Security Agency (NSA); and

(2) The Director of the FBI.

Without actually realizing it, both of these positions are fundamentally tethered.

The NSA Director is the librarian of the Intelligence Community.  The NSA gathers, collects, intercepts and stores the metadata of every electronic transmission, including communication. The Director of the NSA is in charge of that massive responsibility to protect and guard the library.

The FBI Director is the chief customer of that library.  On the domestic investigative side, the intelligence side, and the counterintelligence side of all FBI operations, their access to exploit that metadata has become critical.  The urgency of that need underpins the motive to continue reauthorizing FISA-702. When we remove the pretending, 702 reauthorization means surveillance access without warrants for all American communication.

The Fourth Amendment has been destroyed by legislative permission, and a complete lack of accountability for violations of law.  Americans are no longer “secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures,” and “reasonable cause” warrants are no longer needed.

It should not be too much to ask for an FBI Director who respects the Fourth Amendment. Alas, in the real world of the Patriot Act, pragmatically we are well aware that every sub-silo and contractor within the FBI toolbox has access to this unlimited surveillance library.

Perhaps unbeknownst to most, the people advising President Trump on his next FBI Director also hold a vested interest in making sure the nominated candidates for NSA and FBI will continue to allow exploitation.

I prefer an FBI Director who does not support FISA-702 warrantless searches of U.S. citizen data. Unfortunately, everyone in the orbit of President Trump providing the advice and recommending the candidates, do not hold the same view.  Not a single one.

That context brings me to the key point that every reader must keep at the forefront of everything else that unfolds for the next several years.   Urgency and response to prayer tell me to just let the information flow and everyone can judge for themselves.

By now you probably carry in your wallet or purse a newly DHS and TSA compliant “real ID,” either in the form of a driver’s license, a passport, or a biometric alien registration id.

If you travel, you will note your compliant ID is scanned by TSA and more recently your face is photographed, recorded and uploaded.  The database connecting your biometric identity to your personage is now complete and growing larger.

♦ The People Behind Donald Trump:

Think.

When the AI search and filter capability is merged with the NSA metadata, add fractal computing power and imagine the search results.  It is only a matter of time before an Obama-type administration take power again.  What will that merged system look like when weaponized?

Now, think about what comes next. Oh, and you don’t have to wonder too much.

Palantir agreed to cooperate with the FBI and launched facial recognition AI on behalf of their federal contract with the FBI into the events of J6 attendees. The FBI arrests followed.  Palantir’s access to the DHS/TSA database, as granted by the FBI for use in their J6 targeting operation, was a beta test for how artificial intelligence could scour the national biometric database and deliver results.

Two key points:

(1) Palantir doesn’t have access to the full NSA metadata library yet. That’s the part where Peter ThielElon Musk and JD Vance come in (’28).*

(2) Palantir (AI surveillance) is beta testing with various sub-silos (like FBI), under auspices of various legal authorities (like J6).

[*Apply the Dept of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as nose under tent to #1]

Peter Thiel’s company, Palantir, is the contracted exploitation software that scours the system, connects to the metadata and delivers the return result.  Palantir is the product that identifies the faces, in the library assembled by the federal requirement for “read id.”

Now, does this make sense?

The fully autonomous surveillance system is almost finished.  5G makes the data processing stream fast and in real time.  What remains is simply a hardware issue, ie. cameras.

Elon Musk, Peter Thiel and Larry Ellison have positioned themselves brilliantly.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is also a solid way in.

This backdrop also frames the nomination of Kristi Noem and Tulsi Gabbard at DHS and DNI respectively, quite differently.

Everything built for good is but one election away from being weaponized.

“ They really thought the voters were gullible enough to believe their outright lies.”

They always have been before. Something always works until it doesn’t. The reason why it didn’t work this time was Donald Trump and their extreme reaction to him, which only magnified his message. That…and inflation is something you simply can’t cover over and hide.

There’s a section of Portland where traffic was bad. What was the solution? CLOSE ONE OF THE LANES ON EACH SIDE. They literally changed the roads in that area from 2 lanes per side to 1.
