Au Contraire. Carter tried to coerce the Shah of Iran for money. The Shah refuted and the next you know, Iran is now a terror state. Carter is not a moral person. I really never bought the narrative that Carter was a good person.
Amen to that
We all have our opinions. Mine is based on having lived through the Carter maladministration ... and everything that has followed it (for good or ill).
Aptly named magazine: Vanity Fair.
“Sure enough, soon Christian and Faithful enter a town called Vanity which is home to a huge Fair that runs throughout the year. The fair is quite ancient—almost 5,000 years old. At that time, Beelzebub, Apollyon, and Legion, seeing many pilgrims passing through Vanity on their way to the Celestial City, decided to set up a fair selling all sorts of merchandise—lands, titles, kingdoms, jewels, and even people. Every kind of sin and crime also happens here. The wares of many different nations are promoted in the streets of the Fair.”....

Amen!
And NOW, we have JD Vance as a VP and in line for 2028 and 2032.
MUCH better than 30pence.
HA HA HA!
God DOES have a sense of humor.
To me, it will be the Thanksgiving Election. Apologies to P’nut.
Pence, the Bushes, the Cheneys, Chris Christie must be majorly sad.
Well, Lester Maddox, his lieutenant governor, said that Carter was the most dishonest man he ever met. Goldwater said the same of Nixon.
We’ve moved on.
Stay out da Bushes!!!
“Hear, Hear!!”
Indeed we have. And I’m glad we did.
LOL...maybe one of the only wise thing Jesse has ever said.
That was another pretty bad misstep. It's scary that they had a horrible candidate (albeit with a fair amount of "because she's a woman" vote) and we were only a couple of missteps away from losing.
Trump certainly has his flaws as a candidate, too, but I think this campaign was the best of the three. He mostly stayed on message, and the energy and stamina he brought at his age was impressive.
I think that the casual destruction of a pet squirrel (and don’t forget Fred), just because he was owned by a Trump voter, tipped a lot of undecideds over the edge.
Charlie Kirk did the leg work and helped to mobilize the youth vote.
Then at the last minute, Elon Musk was able to secure an endorsement from Joe Rogan.
