Really like Peet’s Kenyan reserve, whole bean, ground fresh. Earthy. The Ethiopian is also good, milder and sweeter. I got the best results ordering directly from them so it’s roasted fresh and not sitting on a shelf for who knows how long.

Stove top mocha pot is my preferred brewing method.

The closest Trader Joe’s to me is a good hour’s drive away. Will check it out at that price the next time I go. I’ve not seen $5/lb for coffee in a while. You sure it’s not 10 or 12 ounces? Whereabouts do you find that?

I like black coffee, but I find I’m moving towards a medium roast these days. Also once in a while I too will put lactose free milk in it.

Coffee is a lot like wine. They say a good wine is the one you like. Same with coffee. When I lived in Germany I used to get one of the Italian coffees from the Lavazza line called Espresso Crema E Gusto (Forte). After moving back home, I was able to get it on Amazon - but now can’t find it anywhere (Lavazza has lots of different blends but they just don’t compare). How you prepare and whether you buy beans or grounds can make a difference as does freshness. Several from Trader Joe’s are good. I like one of their fair trade coffees called Organic Bolivian Blend. It’s a medium dark roast. I like some from Peet’s as well. I’ve never heard of most of the ones on this list. Maybe I need to branch out ;- )

Costco’s Kirkland Columbian Supremo whole bean (silver bag with the jaguar on the front) works just fine for me. I can grind it as needed, so it stays fresh.
Chock Full of Nut’s ad used to say, ‘Better coffee Rockefeller’s money can’t buy’ but they had to change it due to complaints from Rocky’s family.

I have to agree

Years ago I had Tim Hortons coffee while vacationing in Canada and LOVED it.

Years later I tried Time Horton’s coffee in the. US and it was not nearly as good..

My wife bought a package of that coffee! She’s not crazy about it, so whenever she runs out of her hazelnut flavored coffee she’ll make herself some as a last resort.

I HATE flavored coffees- I drank so much of it years ago I O.D.’d my taste buds on all of them. We have two coffee makers, one for each of us, and it’s my job every night to prepare both of them. Two people, two different types of coffee……

Just to add- it doesn’t matter what quality the beans are, if they’re poorly roasted it’s gonna be a waste…

Believe it or not, Aldi’s coffee is pretty good, or my son-in-law just has a knack for making good coffee. Any coffee the first 10 minutes is better than any other coffee after that

I also like Black Rifle - I don’t see them on here.

Their CEO lost a lot of us when he threw conservatives under the bus.

“Yes but do they make a light roast decaf?”

Decaf coffee is like a hairless cat. They exist, but they aren’t right.

I miss him too. I don’t know if you watch Gutfeld on Fox: he’s no Rush, but boy does he skewer the libs, and with humor, too. His off-color humor can grate a little.
